The Basic Service Viewing the GSV Channels 2, 6 & 8 To access in-house channels you will need to switch inputs on the TV. If you choose you can use your TV remote to do this. 1. Find and press the "Input" button on your TV remote 2. When a menu appears on your TV screen similar to that at the left press the up and down arrows to select TV" 3. Use the channel selector on the remote to go to your desired channel. (Procedure may vary depending on your TV. See your Receiver manual. Different brands may have a button labeled Input or Source or Video all of which do the same thing. Most remotes will have selections for HDMI. A few may label their selections Video1, Video2, Video3, or source 1, soruce2, source3, etc.) Note you can also change your TV input with the DirecTV remote - see slide 10. You will receive, at no cost to you, one DirecTV High Definition (HD) Receiver setup as shown and also the 150+ channels in the Choice Package To allow access to the GSV Channels your DirecTV HD Receiver or DVR will be set up as shown with a splitter/ diplexer connecting both the Receiver and the TV set to the cable outlet. You can choose not to have a receiver perhaps on a second TV. In addition to the GSV channels 2, 6, & 8 you will get from the cable connection the digital Broadcast channels 4, 5, 7, 9, 26, 50 and 66 with sub-channels, a total of 26 channels in all. If it is connected to the Internet with Roku, Apple TV or built in smarts you can enjoy streaming video from Netflix, Hulu and many other such Apps. WiFi Media Bridge Once your DirecTV account is established, you will be provided information allowing access to Apps like TCM, A&E, FX Now, HBO GO & DIRECTV, for viewing on Smart TVs and ipads. Frequently Asked Questions What happens if I don t make any choices and elect not to have a DirecTV Receiver? TVs bought within the last 5 to 6 years and not connected to a DirecTV Receiver will be limited to viewing local channels and the Greenspring channels 2, 6 & 8. If your TV is older and analog only it may require you to purchase a digital TV converter box. These can be found in stores like Best Buy and Walmart and also purchased online. Remember, an HD Receiver and monthly service for your first TV service is included in your GSV services. Will I need a box at all my TVs? Any TV that you want to watch DirecTV programming on will require a box. Can I record programs? Yes. The HD DVR box will allow you to record up to 2 programs at once. If you put an HD box at a second TV it will be able to view what you recorded on the HD DVR box. There are additional monthly costs to have this service How many boxes can I have in my home?
