MUSICAL DECORUM Attendance Policy: You must be committed to the process to fully achieve excellence! 1. You are allowed two days of absences from school from now until the end of the production. If you miss more than two days, you must provide a doctor s note, or you will unfortunately be removed from the cast. This will also include absences from your other courses. 2. You are allowed three late arrivals to school. If you are late more than three times, you will unfortunately be at risk of being removed from the cast. The late arrivals can be discussed with me, as I do understand weather and traffic issues in winter. 3. Please see me if you have an absence that you cannot control. If you are sick, you will be required to bring a doctor s note to me (if it is your third or more absence). 4. Please try to schedule appointments at times other than during rehearsals. Please see me if you have already scheduled appointments that cannot be rescheduled. 5. When in doubt about an anticipated absence, please talk to me. The earlier you communicate, the better! I m on your side and want to keep you in the musical! 6. From December 7-17, it is integral to the cast and crew that all are in attendance at scheduled rehearsals. If there is a conflict, please bring this to me immediately. 7. The week following the production, Dec. 18-22, all musical students are required to attend all classes. We do not get to skip school after our performances. Keeping up with your School Work: 1. You must contact all of your teachers and let them know you are participating in the musical. I have let all of them know, but they want to also hear from you. This is showing your excellence in character! 2. You need to keep up with your school work in all of your classes. Please see your teachers for any and all work that has been missed. 3. You are required to complete all missed assignments, quizzes, tests, exams, and work. 4. We will host make up test sessions after school during the week of Dec. 18-22. 5. The week after the musical, December 18-22, we will have a wrap-up session. Being an FFCA Leader: 1. As a cast member in the musical, please know that you have been given a great privilege! Musicals are not requirements of our school or our program; they are created for amazing educational experiences for YOU! 2. You must work toward excellence in character: respect, responsibility, self-discipline, integrity, and compassion. 3. You must be in uniform, unless otherwise instructed. 4. When rehearsing outside of the drama room, you will be responsible and respectful citizens 5. Please remember this beautiful mantra: I am a positive person. I am responsible for the energy I bring to this school. I want you to love your involvement in the musical! The preceding requirements, while they may seem stringent, will ultimately increase our ability to enjoy the process and produce a fabulous, phenomenal, successful musical! On to excellence! I have read and understand the above policies. My signature below indicates that I am willing to make the commitment necessary to be fully involved in the musical.
