The exam will consist of these tasks: 1. Sing one of these melodies from the sightsinging text: p. 119 no. 5 or p. 120 no. 8. 2. Sing one of these arpeggiations: a) I IV(below) I6 ii6/5 6/4(cad) V7 I b) i iv6(below) ii6 ii6/5 6/4(cad) V7 i 3. Sight read one melody (material will be provided for you). Guidelines for the singing exams: --for the melodies you will be given the TONIC, and be expected to find your starting pitch from there. For the arpeggiations you will also be given a tonic pitch.
