AASD CHORAL MUSIC CURRICULUM Chral Music 9-12 Resurces that address curse bjectives: Published and public dmain chral music will be the primary cntent f chral music classes 9-12. Mst perfrmance indicatrs and assessments will be identified thrugh the rehearsal-study and perfrmance f this ever-changing repertire. Specific rubrics are available n the Wiscnsin Schl Music Assciatin website and are included as an appendix t this curriculum. Instructrs and adjudicatrs are at liberty t create and use alternate rubrics as lng as they address the perfrmance indicatrs. Appletn East, Nrth and West High Schls are members f the Wiscnsin Schl Music Assciatin. The Wiscnsin Schl Music Assciatin requires prfessinal adjudicatin f chral prgrams n a biennial basis. The 9-12 curriculum f the Appletn Area Schl District recmmends prfessinal adjudicatin thrugh large grup festival r a lcalized clinic/wrkshp with EACH ensemble n an annual basis. Repertire standards are partially set by the WSMA with a minimum f ne required selectin frm the large grup festival list t be perfrmed at each adjudicatin r wrkshp. Bard Apprved April 2016 Page 6
