VISITORS TYPOLOGY The highlights of Musicora 2016 A musical, participatory and festive event. The public is no longer just a visitor but participates in an event and stays an average of 3:30 hours on the spot: three participative concerts, a multiplication of concerts scenes, a doubling of the number of musical awakening and instrumental practice workshops, an introduction to instruments such as the accordion, the harmonica, the piano, the guitar, the violin, the brass, the choral singing or the musical formation. A fair organized with the support of exhibitors and partners, offering them a wide visibility. The program of concerts, conferences and workshops is conceived in partnership with the exhibitors and partners of the fair. The early bird rate for booths and free unlimited invitations to the fair allow exhibitors and partners to come in the best conditions and find their customers and target audience in Musicora. A focus on the education and professionalization of musicians. Marianne James, godmother of Musicora 2016! After Ibrahim Maalouf in 2015, Marianne James carried the colours and values of the fair loud and clear: Inauguration of the fair and meeting with exhibitors and visitors; Conference on the benefits of voice; Participative concert and master class with Musicora s audience; Strong presence in media and on social networks to promote the fair. 175 exhibitors on 6000 m2 Violin makers and instrument makers, wood and instrument accessories, score and book publishers, music schools and conservatories, labels and platforms for online music, festivals and concert halls, music press and online media, professional organizations and trade unions, as well as the digital pavilion (with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Communication), the live performance pavilion, the association pavilion and an auction of prestigious instruments. 30 concerts, 3 360 spectators In 2016, the concert program was developed in close cooperation with the exhibitors and partners of the fair. The public was able to attend the recital of pianist Abdel Rahman El Bacha, a concert with six harpists around Marielle Nordmann, the show Musiques aux Jardins with actor Michael Lonsdale, and the concert of the winners of the Musiques d Ensemble contest with the Trio Zadig and Trio SR9, the trumpeter Romain Leleu and the Ensemble Convergences.
3 participative concerts Following the great improvisation of 2015 with Ibrahim Maalouf, 3 participative concerts were organized in 2016 with Marianne James, the guitarist Jean- Félix Lalanne and the clarinettist Michel Lethiec. 370 students of the conservatories of Paris in concert For the first time, all the conservatories of the City of Paris were present in concert at Musicora. More than 370 students, and their teachers, performed in five concerts with a musical program going from classical to reggae. Each concert gathered an average audience of 200 people. 78 participatory workshops, 1 780 participants With participatory workshops for children (ages 3 and up) and adults, more than 1 780 people, including 1 550 children, were able to awaken to music and learn about accordion, harmonica, violin, viola, brass, piano, guitar, musical formation, choral singing... 34 conferences, 1 800 participants Organized by Musicora or in partnership with exhibitors and partners, the conferences gathered a public of 1 800 music professionals, musicians and music lovers around the themes of financing and exporting music, art education and professionalization of musicians, and the discovery of music, especially through the Internet.
International professional meetings The International Professional Meetings NEW DEAL (organized by the FEVIS, the Bureau Export, France Festivals and the Institut français) hosted over 120 artistic structures from France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Great Britain, Latvia, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Germany, Poland, Colombia...
