MACHINE FUNCTIONS FOR PLASMA AND OXY-FUEL CUTTING MACHINE FUNCTIONS Marking Piercing functions Special piercing process for oxy-fuel and plasma to avoid splashes of the liquid material Plate determination (start position, angle and size) At every job start, a plate determination program can be executed automatically if the machine is equipped with an appropriate sensor. Manually by setting the values Job list processing Nesting of different jobs on one sheet Repeat different jobs on different sheets Sheet change between jobs External laser pointer function for determining starting point Job start at part or contour only if supported by the CAD/CAM system Selecting the part/contour by touching on screen or by typing the next button Selection by typing in the part number or contour number Continue at last cut contour Power loss recovery function with automatic start at last contour Consumables time counting (operator knows when to change the consumables) Safe-Stop of NC process During the cutting process there could be reasons why the NC-Program needs to be interrupted. In this case, the following functions are available: Moving manually backward on contour Moving automatically backward on contour after stop (generated by user or error condition) Automatic retract of Z axis Manually move of the axes for service or maintenance reasons Consideration of several safety issues during stop (e.g. doors, gas etc.) Continue automatically at last cutting position Switch on/off functions and change of cutting parameters Piercing height Cutting height

ADVANCED FUNCTIONS FOR PLASMA AND OXY-FUEL CUTTING ADVANCED FUNCTIONS Fast cut plasma process: Height detection only at first contour (following contours use same position) No lifting of head between contours Automatic calculation of corner signal to switch off the distance control before corners to avoid the torch touching the plate. Cutter compensation look ahead Cutter compensation look ahead is an extension of the standard cutter compensation. Multiple blocks (standard values: 10, 25, 100) can be looked at in advance to detect and avoid collisions. Different adjustments are possible for reaction to the detection of a collision: e. g. generate a message but keep executing, take a shortcut to avoid contour damage. Cutter compensation look ahead can also execute NC programs with dummy blocks (blocks without movement information) which normally only works in special cases. Adaptive distance regulation The function distance regulation allows functionality such as heights regulation above the work piece. Distance regulation needs an external analog signal from a distance or heights sensor. In its easiest form the distance regulation can influence the position of an axis for heights control. Together with 5 transformation the regulation can work in tool direction with multiple axis. The distance toolhead or tool-tool will be regulated proportionally to the analog voltage. The Characteristics can be adjusted with parameters. PA HMI THE OPEN USER INTERFACE The HMI for plasma and oxy-fuel cutting offers all relevant functions for an easy and efficient operation of your plasma or oxy-fuel cutting machine. It can be very easily and flexibly customised and updated to meet the needs of the user. With the latest QT4 technology, the PA HMI is not only graphically very attractive but also very powerful. PA CUT PROGRAMMING AND OPERATING SOFTWARE PA CUT is a programming and operating software for cutting machines and can be integrated optionally into the PA CNCs. It offers a wide range of functions like plate management, pre-programmed macro shapes, bridge cutting, bevelling etc. and is easy to operate. More than 11 different languages are available. PA SOFT-PLC CNC Interpreter CNC Interpolator CNC Position Loop COMPILE-CYCLES IT HAS NEVER BEEN EASIER TO IEC61131-3 CODESYS The turn-key solution comes with a preprogrammed PLC which features all the functionality needed for a standard plasma or oxy-fuel cutting machine such as start and stop handling, drive handling, error message handling and security functions. Most of the interfaces for common plasma beam manufacturers and height control units are already included. That makes the integration as easy as possible. PA Real Time Subsystem Windows Application INTEGRATE OWN MACHINE EXPERTISE INTO THE CNC! The PA compile-cycles allow you to integrate your own routines using DLLs into the real-time kernel of the PA CNC. Unlike other CNC manufacturers, you need not share your knowhow but operate independently. You do not even need a special development environment as PA compile-cycles are written in the programming language C.
