LNMS CHORUS Fall Concert NOVEMBER 1 st at 7 p.m. LNHS Theatre In this letter you will find some important information concerning our Fall Concert. Our students are working hard to prepare an amazing night of singing. First and foremost, as stated in the choral contract, performances are a vital part of the choral experience and a requirement in this course. All students should attend as it is worth 35% of our second nine weeks grade. In addition to that, these students have worked tremendously hard together. Teamwork and cooperation are an emphasis in this course and it is so important that we experience the performance as an ensemble, just as we have practiced in rehearsal. TICKET INFO Each student will be given 2 free tickets for their parents/families. Because there are so many students and limited seating at the high school, we can only allow 2 people per student to attend. If you would like to obtain your two free tickets, please fill out the attached order form of this packet and return it with your singer as soon as possible to reserve your tickets. This form must be returned by October 26 th in order to claim your tickets. At that point all remaining tickets will be available in a first come first served manner. A request for an additional ticket can be emailed to anotherticket111@gmail.com starting on October 27 th. Students may request one more additional ticket and requests will be granted in the order in which they are emailed (starting on October 27 th ). Please see page 3 for the ticket order form. What should LNMS singers wear? All students should wear their chorus uniforms for this concert including the black satin ribbon for the girls, and the vests and ties for the boys. Please make sure your singers uniform fits appropriately and check the hem on the girls dresses to ensure it is not falling out. Here are the additional pieces: 6 th grade girls Chorus Polo, black dress pants (not leggings, or jeggings, or black jeans), black closed toe and heel flats. No jewelry except for small stud earrings. Hair should be fastened out of face with ribbon. Period 3, 5, & 7 girls Chorus dress, black closed toe and heel flats. No jewelry except for small stud earrings. Hair should be fastened out of face with ribbon. Boys wear your chorus tuxedo pants, tuxedo shirt, black dress shoes/socks, and your vest. We will provide your tie once you arrive. What time should I arrive? All Soloists ALL SOLOISTS premier and class song solos Please meet at the HS at 5 p.m. for a sound check. Students will have assigned sections to sit in during the rehearsal. Parents of these students, who offer to assist, will supervise their student s class. o Help with: Concert Performance (area where students will be standing) Description: It is also good to have parents nearby during the performance in case a student is feeling ill. Students also receive a grade for their concert behavior. Teachers and some parents will be given a roster and chart so that students are held accountable for their behavior. The students will be aware of this o Help with: Ticket Collection Description: These parents will set up in front of the theatre doors. o Help with: Concert Performance Program Distribution Description: These parents will pass out programs when audience members are entering the auditorium. These parents will also ask everyone to turn off their cell-phones as they enter. o Help with: Concert Performance House Management Description: These parents will remain in the back of the auditorium during the concert to ensure that the doors only open during applause or a break in the program unless there is an emergency. An administrator will be back there as well. THANK YOU! Name Email:

TWO WAYS FOR YOU TO ENJOY THE CONCERT IF YOU DON T HAVE A TICKET LIVESTREAM OF THE CONCERT Stay tuned for more information on how you can watch the concert via Livestream Purchase a Professional DVD/BLUE Recording DIACOM recording company is going to record the concert on November 1 st. They record using multiple camera angles and their own microphones. It is a high quality recording that you can purchase to share with others who may not have been able to come to the concert. If you order it at the concert, they will ship it to your home before the holidays. Because we would like to archive this performance, we would greatly appreciate it that if you are bringing a small child with you to the performance, and they get restless, that you take them to the lobby. Our chorus students have been rehearsing for many weeks on their music, and we want to provide them with an atmosphere where they can concentrate without distractions. We will have a table set up in the lobby and order forms for you to fill out. If you would like to get a head start, you can use this and bring it the evening of the concert.
