Narrator: The Gingerbread man ran so fast that no one could catch him. Suddenly, they all passed some rabbits. Rabbit1: Why are they all in a rush? That Gingerbread man is running fast! Rabbit2: Indeed, doesn t he look tasty? (bowels sound). We can be faster, let s chase him too! Narrator: But the rabbits couldn't catch the Gingerbread man. The Gingerbread man was running so fast that soon he was far ahead of them all. He turned around a corner and suddenly there was a long river in front of him, he arrived at the river shore. Little Gingerbread Boy: Oh no a river! I don't know how to swim. There s no way I can cross it I m stuck! Narrator: After a few minutes, a fox came by. Fox: Hello Gingerbread man. What are you doing? Gingerbread man: I m running away from an old man, an old woman, a pig, a cow, a horse They are far behind me, but now that I m stuck at this river they ll probably catch up and eat me. 6

Fox: I cathe riven help you cross the river! Jump on my tail and I will swim you across. Narrator: The Gingerbread boy jumped on the fox s tail thinking it was a great idea. The fox swam but he started getting wet as the river got deeper. Fox: Little Gingerbread man you better get on my back or you ll get wet. Narrator: The fox swam and swam into the deep river. But again, the Gingerbread man was getting wet again. Fox: My back is tired. Jump onto my nose so you can stay dry. Mmm... tasty! Narrator: Before the Gingerbread man could say anything else, the fox used his tongue to get him and put him into his mouth. So, when the old woman and man, the cow, the pig, the dog, the hens got to the river the only thing they saw was a fox all alone, swimming to the other side. All: We should never trust strangers!
