Authors are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format before their work is submitted. (In case of peer-review) Peer review policy and procedure In submitting works, authors agree that their works may be published (if accepted). Submission of a work does not guarantee acceptance. Reviews are not normally sent out for peer-review beyond the Review Editors. The final decision is the responsibility of the editor, and will be given within 6 months of receipt. 5.2. Text organization and style Basic guidelines (In case of papers, articles and chapters) Papers should be no longer than 7.000 words including quotations, references, and footnotes, but not including tables or graphics. Abstracts of no more than 200 words summarizing the primary argument(s) and finding(s) should be included at the beginning of the paper. 10 keywords should also be supplied. (In case of volumes) A back-cover text no longer than 400 words should be supplied. 10 keywords should also be supplied. A front-cover image should also be supplied. Quotations and References should follow instructions and examples provided in the Author guidelines of each Journal/Series. When not otherwise specified, follow the author-date system of citing references, as described in: The Chicago Manual of Style. 16th ed. Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 2010 - http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org // American Psychological Association Publication Manual. 6th Edition - http://www.apastyle.org These guidelines should be followed in any case. The works to be published will be consigned to LED in MSWord format. They will be in final form. Misprints should be eliminated. It is expected that authors submit proofread material, such that excluding any correction or change in proofs. Works written in English by non-native speakers should be checked by a native English speaker prior to submission. Please provide a suitable statement. The hierarchy of headings is very important, as is uniformity and consistency of the segmentation of the text into sections, subsections, and paragraphs. Headings should be numbered. Up to three levels of headings may be used (e.g. 1. 1.1. 1.1.1. 1.1.2. 1.2. - 2. 2.1. 2.1.1. 2.1.2. 2.2. ). Further levels and blank lines which are not correlated to titles must not be used. There should be uniformity and consistency in the use of bold, italic, underlining, and quotation marks. Avoid combined use of bold and italic unless it is absolutely necessary. If possible, avoid the use of bold type and use italic instead. Avoid underlining. Please use single quotation marks ( ) for quoted material up to 40 words. Quoted material of more than 40 words should be displayed as an indented block quote, with a blank line above and below, without quotation marks. There should be uniformity and consistency in the use of capitalization for acronyms, institutions, etc. as well. Avoid capitalization and small capitals for the names of authors. Capital and small letters are to be used. Punctuation should be consistent, including where it is used in figures and numbering (thousands, decimals, etc.).

Figures, Tables, and Formulas Photographs, drawings, graphs and graphics are all identified as Figures. Figures can be reproduced only if they are free of copyright restrictions (see Authors and Editors Statement, Paragraph 2). The sources of figures and tables reproduced from other publications should be cited. Figures and tables should be numbered consecutively using two separate numerical sequences starting from Figure 1 and Table 1. References to figures and tables should always be quoted in the chosen position within the text, in the following format (see fig. 00 see tab. 00). Figures (including graphs) will be reproduced without any additional adjustment, with the same definition and quality as the original. All figures must be suitable for black and white print reproduction; readability in grey scale should be checked and optimized before submission. When graphs are produced in Word, Excel, yed, in order to maintain quality they should be supplied in editable format (not as image). All elements in Word graphs should be grouped by the Drawing toolbar. Formulas should be supplied in MathType editable format (not as images or objects). 5.3. SUBMITTING FILES File types Word files should be supplied. It is strongly recommended that authors supply a PDF file generated from the final Word file on the same computer used to complete the work. This is indispensable when the text contains graphs, graphics, formulas, Greek or special characters or phonetic symbols. All fonts different from that used for the basic text must be listed and supplied with the text. All figures embedded should also be submitted in the original electronic format (300 dpi.tif,.jpg,.eps or.xls). Submission procedure Authors should give signed consent to publication. All works submitted to LED Edizioni Universitarie for publication in edited collections, journals, or institution and/or universities series must be accompanied by an Authors Statement form signed by all Authors. In exceptional circumstances, the principal or corresponding author may take responsibility and sign on behalf of all the authors. (In case of collective volumes) The statement has to be sent by fax (+39 0255193636) or by e-mail (ledonline@lededizioni.com) complete and duly signed together with the works being submitted for publication. (In case of Journals powered by OJS) The Authors Statement form has to be uploaded together with the works being submitted for publication. (In case of peer review) To preserve the integrity of the peer-review process, every effort should be made to prevent the identities of authors and reviewers from becoming known to each other. Any reference to authors name should thus be removed from both the typescript and digital version, using Files/ Properties (MSWord) and Document / Properties (Adobe Acrobat). Submitted works should follow a specific format, length, and citation style. Author Guidelines of each Journal or Series include essential information about preparing a work for submission, criteria for publication and the submission process. 5.4. POST-ACCEPTANCE PDF proofs for correction are sent by e-mail to the corresponding author or to the editors of the volume / Series / Journal. The publisher is not responsible for any error not marked on the proofs. Proof corrections should be returned to the Editorial Office within 10 days of receipt, or the article will be published without author's corrections. Corrections on the proofs can only be accepted for misprints; no substantial changes from the author are allowed at this stage. Alterations in the proofs are only accepted at the full expense of the author. Any author's alterations, including typographical corrections not related to pagination problems, will be charged at 1,00 for each correction. The works will be published in a definitive graphical layout without any editing service, unless expressly requested (see 4. Charges - Editing service ). If requested, the editing service covers also the costs of corrections. All accepted works will remain permanently published on the website. Offprints and paperback copies can be ordered at this link.
