It is blue and green. I like green. My ruler is green but my pencil case is pink. Listening Comprehension 2 Hi Tina, is this your friend? Yes, this is Tom. He is a good singer. Is he in your band? No, but his brother is our drummer. And who is this? This is Susan, she plays the guitar in our band. I can t play the guitar but I m a good keyboard player. Can I play in your band? I ll take the big bag. Here s 5. Man: And here s your change, 50p. Dialogue 4 Look, there s the new smart phone everybody is talking about! Can you see how much it is? Not really. I think it s 450! Look! The smart phone next to it is only 190. That is still too expensive for me. Listening Comprehension 7 Hi, my name is Joe and I live in Huddersfield, Yorkshire. I usually get up at a quarter to seven. My mum and dad are already up. Mum works in a bakery and has to catch the bus at half past seven. My dad has to leave the house at seven. He is a music teacher at a secondary in Huddersfield. It takes him half an hour to get there by car. I have a quick shower and then I make breakfast for my brother and me. My brother has a bowl of cereals, I usually have some toast and cheese.. We usually have breakfast at a quarter past seven. At twenty minutes to eight we hurry to the bus stop where the school bus picks us up. School starts at a half past eight. I have lunch at half past 12. I often bring my own lunch to school.

4 School ends at half past three. I usually get home at a quarter past four. Then I go to my room and listen to some music. When mum gets home at six in the evening we all have dinner together. My father usually cooks dinner because he comes home at half past four. My brother and I always do our homework after dinner, then we sometimes watch TV or study for school. On weekdays I am usually in bed by half past ten. Listening Comprehension 8 Linda: David: Today we are going to talk about birthdays. Linda, when is your birthday? My birthday is on the 27 th of January. And yours, David? My birthday is on the 13 th of April. Anne: Lara: Anne: Lara: Lara, do you know the date of our next English test? I think it s the 12 th of May. Are you sure it s not the 22 nd of March? That s the date of our Maths test. Martin: Diane: Martin: Diane: Martin: This school year is really long! Really? My dad is from Greece. Boy 1: Dilara, what language do you speak at home? We mostly speak Turkish at home because my parents are from Turkey. Boy 1: Well, my mum is from Portugal but I don t really speak Portuguese well.
