MODULAR PDV SYSTEM Product Information Traverse Solutions & Instrumentation Modular PDV System 2.0
TS&I MODULAR PDV SYSTEM 2.0 The TS&I Chassis can receive up to 8 PDV Modules. Easily remove the face plate and slide in the module. The power supply and computer connections are located on the left side of the chassis. Additional power conditioning is provided to ensure clean and stable power is delivered to the PDV modules via the backplane connectors. Simply open up TS&I s Modular PDV System Software to adjust the signal and reference laser power and monitor test setup parameters. The software is supported on the Windows 7 & 10 operating systems. For convenience the TS&I Modular PDV System Chassis mounts in a standard 19 rack. CHASSIS SPECIFICATIONS Eight PDV Module Slots. Mounts in NEMA standard 19 rack. 3U chassis height shown USB & Ethernet ports located on back panel 110Vac IEC power connector on back panel. Regulated 12Vdc Power Supply
The TS&I PDV Module comes upshifted. A homodyne test can be accomplished by adding the necessary fiber optic components outside of the system. All Optical components contain single mode 1550nm fiber, are rated for 500mW or higher, and meet applicable industry specifications. MEMS variable optical attenuators are located on the reference and signal lines along with a corresponding power meter. A third power meter is located on the signal coming from the probe before being combined with the reference laser and entering the Miteq 20Ghz optical receiver. PDV Module The module front panel is home to the SMA output of the optical receiver. A light display indicates the module is powered and communicating. The FC/APC connectors for the reference laser, signal laser, and probe are located on the back panel. The modules are secured to the chassis with a screw located on the back panel. Not anymore. The MEMS variable optical attenuators can handle 2W of input power without light making it through; downstream components are safe and sound. In addition the software will flash a warning to let the technician know as it automatically lowers the input laser power. Click the module on the home screen and use the adjustment arrows or type in your desired power level. The components and characterization data is stored on each individual module along with the recommended routine system diagnostics. Software Supported on Windows 7 & 10.

Meet The Team DAVID PHILLIPS Any project that I am involved with will be done well. Difficult projects take time, seemingly impossible projects take a little longer. David s distinguished career began as a staff engineer at Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, LASL (now Los Alamos National Lab) where his work consisted of the design and programming of various embedded electronics systems. D. BRENT NOEL Curiosity, Imagination, Innovation D. Brent Noel graduated is an ASQ certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from BYU. After graduation he became a project manager for one of the largest private home builders in the nation. The market shifted and he found himself welding and fabricating for the R&D group of ArmorWorks, LLC. It wasn t long before he was out of the shop that he enjoyed and started designing blast energy absorbing seats for ShockRide, a division of ArmorWorks. A handful of patents later, a half dozen successful seat programs managed, and it was time to return home to Utah. In Utah, Brent became the engineering manager of McWane Ductiles Provo plant. There he had the joy of managing multi-million dollar projects with the typical plant shutdown around the clock installs. It was here that he was entrenched in Lean Six Sigma and was selected as a champion of operation excellence. His ability and willingness to speak up aided the transformation of the company s culture and launched him to a position at Twinlab, Corp where he was tasked with culture improvement. From there it was time to pursue his dream and branch out with the team of his choice. PDV is just one of many opportunities that TS&I is successfully pursuing in their vision of providing quality mechanical & embedded electronic products. While at LASL, he completed a Master of Science degree in Computing and Information Science from the University of New Mexico. After his time at the Lab, David taught engineering courses at Brigham Young University and Purdue University. He also worked in industry designing precision embedded electronics for scientific instruments. Companies he worked for include Novell, Hart Scientific, Calorimetry Sciences, and TA Instruments. His latest endeavor has been developing the Mechatronics program at Utah Valley University in Orem Utah. RYAN WELLS Do it. Do it right. Do it now. Ryan Wells has a wide range of experience in the financial and business sector. He earned an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has experience in multiple small start ups to large multi-billion dollar corporations. His strengths include, system implementations, financial, regulatory, and management reporting, manufacturing, & operations. Boart Longyear utilized Ryan s skills to oversee proper costing and accounting for $150 million the inventory through out NAM (North America), which was located in three manufacturing plants and 30 distribution and forward stocking locations. As a Senior Financial Analyst for Zions Bancorporation, Ryan created consistent internal, external, and regulatory reporting between six affiliate banks. In his most recent position he has helped a small start up with 5 million in annual revenues to grow to over 100 million in annual revenues. During this time he chose and oversaw the implementation of an ERP system, created controls, and established policies to ensure the financial integrity of the company. Because of these measures the company is in a situation to become a public company in the near future.
