Anders Kjellberg Nilsson, born in Oslo in 1983, is today one of Norway's most active violinists. He has performed as soloist with all of Norway's symphony orchestras and he frequently performs as chamber musician and ensemble leader. He studied in Oslo, Berlin and Stockholm, with teachers Alf Richard Kraggerud, Stephan Barratt-Due, Ulf Wallin and Detlef Hahn. Anders is a frequent guest concert-master with many of the top Scandinavian orchestras and, as an orchestra leader, he has an extensive collaboration with the Wermland Opera orchestra and the Trondheim Soloists. On the 2L label he directs the Trondheim Soloists in their Grammy-nominated album "Divertimenti". Anders is concert master of the Norwegian Radio Orchestra. From 2008 to 2014 he was artistic director of the Hardanger Music Festival, which every spring presents around 30 concerts dedicated to chamber music, folk music and nature. Norwegian composer Terje Bjørklund s violin concerto was specially written for Anders and was premièred with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra in the autumn of 2010. In October 2014 he toured Germany with the Basel Chamber Orchestra as concert master and he has also acted as concert master at Wermland and Trondheim. Playing both violin and viola, his strong commitment to chamber music has led to collaborations with artists such as Simon Trpceski, Kathryn Stott, Truls Mørk, Janine Jansen and Martin Fröst. 3

Ravel's "Sonata posthumous" is rather rare, but in return we get served the known and beloved audience favorites "The Girl with the Flaxen Hair", "Pavan for a Dead Princess" and "Vocalize in the form of a habanera". You are amazed at how different they are, despite the fact that they belong to the same musical 'region', and Ravel's 'Blues' is an irresistible creation.
