Always the right solution Why should a multiswitch system be used? A multiswitch system offers the end user total flexibility and a maximum choice of TV programs (SDTV / HDTV / 4K-UHD). Multiswitches enable many satellite set-top box users to share a single satellite antenna. Multiswitches can also help to avoid both: many dishes on a building and a lot of unstructured cabelling. When will you use single cable multiswitches? In old buildings, in which a star-shaped installation is not possible, single cable multiswitches will be used. Thus, existing tree-shaped structure can be used for SAT-IF distribution. A single cable multiswitch provides the received programs divided into several user bands. A maximum of 32 receivers can be connected to one output. The connected receiving devices must be compatible acc. to EN50607 or EN50494 (8 user bands). What s the purpose of a cascadable system? The cascadable system is suited for big installations with a large number of subscribers. If the subscribers live on different floors it inevitably causes different cable lengths. As a result, the cable lengths to the subscribers can be kept as short as possible. This system ist very flexible, which alows to extend it in case more subscribers need to be added. System solution for Unicable II applications In combination with a SES 5532-19 Unicable II multiswitch one or two SAT-positions (with Wideband LNB) can be received. Dynamic mode The AXING device SES 5532-19 provides the received transponders on 32 user bands. Thus, 32 tuners can be connected and each of them must be allocated to one of 32 user bands. The receiving devices must support Unicable II (EN50607). Static mode 32 transponders can be received by any number of receivers. Unicable I pre-programming The user bands of AXING Unicable I multiswitches are pre-programmed on SES 5532-19. This allows an easy replacement of SES 556-x9 Unicable switches. Programming The standard configuration of SES 5532-19 can be changed with the programmer SZU 55-00. The PC software can be downloaded on www.axing.com ( Software and Firmware ).
Wideband technology H Low Band High Band 10.700 MHz 12.750 MHz V 10.700 MHz 12.750 MHz Traditional SAT-IF distribution uses four sections (H/L, H/H, V/L and V/H). Therewith all programs of a satellite fit in the frequency range 9500 2150 MHz. The wideband technology uses a wider frequency range (300 2350 MHz). Due to the increased frequency range only two sections (H and V) are necessary. This means only two coaxial cables are needed for one satellite position, which means that a further satellite position can be transmitted. When using a wideband LNB the complete frequency range of one satellite can be transported on two cables within a range from 300 MHz to 2350 MHz. This technology can only be used with a single cable or Unicable switch, because the frequency transmodulation occurs within the multiswitch directly. A new receiving device is not necessary, since the transmodulation occurs on the familiar AXING frequencies.
