INSTRUCTION MANUAL LITE-WRITE LASER SHOW TM

WARNINGS When using this LITE-WRITE LASER SHOW TM, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury. Follow the instructions on the DANGER label on the LITE-WRITE LASER SHOW TM. The LITE-WRITE LASER SHOW TM uses a laser light beam. Only a qualified service person should remove the cover or attempt to service this device due to possible eye injury. Never point the LITE-WRITE LASER SHOW TM beam at anyone. Never look directly into the LITE-WRITE LASER SHOW TM beam. Keep the LITE-WRITE LASER SHOW TM away from children. 2

I. DESCRIPTION Thank you for purchasing the LITE-WRITE LASER SHOW TM. This product features innovative new technology for seasonal decorating: an advanced laser light show plays to the music of 12 Christmas Carols and 3 other festive holiday songs for New Year s Eve, Halloween and Birthday celebrations. Or you can enter your own messages. The unit is designed for outdoor use. Your LITE-WRITE LASER SHOW TM will impress the whole neighborhood! II. INSTALLATION 1. Gently remove the unit from the packaging. 2. Secure the unit on the included stake and / or stand according to the following diagram: TO STAKE IN GROUND STAND FOR FLAT SURFACE 3. Push the stake to the ground, and ensure the unit is stable. 4. Adjust the angle and height of the unit to a desired projecting position by loosening, adjusting the unit and securing the adjusting knob (See figure on following page). 5. A tripod stand is included to display the unit on a hard, flat surface. See figures above and the following page for assembly and display instructions. 5

III. OPERATION TOP OF THE UNIT BOTTOM OF THE UNIT 7

1. Adjust the positioning of the unit on the stake or stand so that the show is aimed at your desired projection surface. Stake or place the unit on a flat surface and make sure it is 10ft 15ft away from the desired projection surface. Move the unit back further to expand projection or forward to make projection smaller. 2. The adapter is intended to be correctly oriented in a vertical or floor mount position. 3. Once the unit is plugged in, press the POWER button to turn ON. When the unit turns on and the last song was a Christmas song, the last song selected will play and then only Christmas songs will play sequentially. When the unit turns on and the last song was either Halloween, Happy Birthday, or Auld Lang Syne ( Happy New Year ), the unit will play that song only. 4. The unit is on an automatic 6 hour timer. When the unit is turned on, it will play for 6 hours continuously, and then turn off for 18 hours. When the unit turns back on after 18 hours, it will start playing the last song selected as described above. If a unique message is playing when the unit turns off, the message in the #1 saved position will play when the unit turns on. 5. To turn the unit on when it is automatically shut off after 6 hours of playing, press the power button to turn the unit on. Please note the new cycle of 6 hours on and 18 hours off will start when the unit turns on. 6. Use the VOLUME dial to adjust the volume of the music. 8

TO PLAY PRE-PROGRAMMED SONGS / LASER SHOWS When the unit is first turned on the screen will say Lite-Write Laser Show. This screen will remain for 30 seconds or touch the stylus to the screen to get to the songs or programmable message screen (Fig. 1). Fig. 1 The unit comes with 12 Christmas songs and 3 Holiday songs. When the unit is first turned on, it will automatically start with a Christmas song and automatically scroll through all 12 Christmas songs and keep playing sequentially. To select a new song, open the cover at the top of the unit. The screen display is Light Shows (Fig. 2). Fig 2 Using the stylus, touch the desired song name which will then be highlighted in a red box. Or touch Next or Prev on the right hand side of the screen. Using the stylus, press play. The songs will play continuously and sequentially until another song is selected. If choosing to play Halloween, Auld Lang Syne ( Happy New Year ) or Happy Birthday To You, please note each individual song will repeat automatically until a new song is selected. 9

TO WRITE AND PLAY A UNIQUE MESSAGE The unit can store 10 messages, each message has a maximum 510 letters / symbols limit. There is no music when these messages play. Please note period (. ) is not an option. To input a message, use the stylus to press the Message Laser tab at the top middle of the screen (Fig. 3). After the message is complete, use the stylus to touch Go and the message will be played. To save a message, type out a message and press Save on the right hand side of the screen. The screen will automatically jump to the Saved Message page (Fig. 5). Fig. 5 10

A maximum of 10 messages can be saved. Using the stylus, select desired message position from 1 to 10 and press the Store button. The messages is now saved and and will show on the screen until deleted. To play a saved message, make sure the Saved Message page is showing. Using the stylus choose your desired message and press Load which automatically changes to the Message Laser page where the message will be displayed. Press the GO button to play the message. To delete a message, go to the Saved Message page and highlight the message. Press Delete. IV. CARE INSTRUCTIONS 1. Before using or reusing, inspect product carefully. Discard any products that have cut, damaged or frayed wire insulation cords, cracks in enclosure, loose connections or exposed wire. 2. When storing the product, carefully remove the product from the current location, including trees, branches or bushes to avoid any undue strain or stress on the conductors, connections and wires. 3. When not in use, store neatly in a cool, dry location protected from sunlight and heat. 4. If necessary, clean product by wiping with a soft, dry cloth. V. SONG LIST 1. Jingle Bells 2. RATINGS Electrical Rating: AC 120V ~ 60Hz, 12 Watts Max. Laser Output Rating: Wavelength - 532nm, Output Power < 5mW Normal operation temperature from -20ºC to 35ºC or -4ºF to 95ºF This product has a built-in over heat protection device to protect the Laser diode from damaging during high temperature conditions. The Laser will automatically cut off while it is over heated and 11

automatically turn on after 15 to 30 minutes of self cooling. When the unit turns on it will play the last song it was playing before turning off and resume where it was during the timer cycle. This product has a built-in warming device to help the unit start during extreme cold conditions. Always leave the unit plugged in when left outside in the cold as this activates the warming device. VII. TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Likely Cause Solution No laser image Unit is tilting downward without user interaction Pre-programmed holiday song not playing No power. Unit needs to be reset. Turn main power OFF, then ON. Please note the new cycle of 6 hours and 18 hours off will start when the unit turns on. Projection surface is too dark or there is too much ambient light. Laser is aimed incorrectly. Cold conditions. Hot conditions. Unit is loose on ground stake or stand. Holiday song not selected. Make sure the main power cord is plugged into a working outlet. Turn main power OFF, then ON. Effect is best achieved at night on a light projection surface. Re-adjust the unit so that it faces the projection surface. Please allow the unit to warm up between 1 to 20 minutes. Over heat protection device activated. Unit will turn on after 15 to 30 minutes of self-cooling. Adjust the unit to desired position and tighten the adjust knob to secure. In the Light Shows screen, select the desired song. Pre-programmed Christmas song not playing Christmas song not selected.
