Muse Machine, founded by Suzy Bassani in 1982, is an organization that encourages active participation with the arts through in-school programs and opportunities to attend professional productions. At Ferguson Middle School a basic Muse membership costs $25.00 and entitles students to six inschool programs, as described on the next page. Muse members will attend the 2:15 PM programs in Zink Gym. Ferguson Muse members will have the opportunity to experience the first Muse artist, Michael Kelsey on September 8. Students who wish to become members must return the purple membership form, the Muse Machine form with parent signature, and the $25.00 fee to Mrs. Ferguson, 202, by September 30, 2010. Let s surpass last year s membership of 285! Also, Muse members have the opportunity to purchase tickets for out-of-school performances. A brief description for those options follows the in-school descriptions. As I am limited in the availability of tickets, I ask students to mark their performance preferences and return the order form with no money for those shows. I will send back the order form that confirms the shows. At that time a check for the ordered out-of-school shows plus the emergency medical form must be returned to Mrs. Ferguson, 202, by October 12, 2010. Please mark your calendars before returning the order form and check, as there can be no refunds. Join Muse Machine for the membership fee of $25.00. All members will be dismissed at 2:15 PM six times during the year to experience artist groups in the gym. See page two for more information about the in-school performances! By being a Muse Member you can attend out-of-school productions at the Victoria, The Loft, UD, the Schuster, & WSU. See pages three and four for our options for this year!!
