Welcome... It was lovely to see so many of you at the Forum over the festive period. Although Christmas is behind us it still feels like a long way to Spring, so here at the Forum we have a packed schedule of events and films to keep the whole family entertained throughout February and March. Over the February half-term we have a number of showings of the new Star Wars movie The Last Jedi, as well as several brilliant Seussical the Musical performances to keep the children entertained. We ve also got some exciting new shows which shouldn t be missed including, Cilla and the Shades of the 60 s, and An evening with Carl Fogarty, as well as an exclusive screening of Last Laugh, an independent film written by John Godber and filmed on the North York Moors, Whitby and Scarborough. Half a String presents A Heart at Sea Intricate puppets tell the story of a Boy who bottles up his heart and throws it into the sea. The Houghton Weavers Join The Houghton Weavers for an evening of popular folk music and humour, suitable for all the family. The group have performed thousands of concerts, recorded over 30 albums, starred in several of their own BBC radio and TV series, and made countless appearances on other programmes. North Country Theatre presents This Evil Thing This one man show, written and performed by Michael Mears is the compelling and inspiring story of the men who said no to war. Mears portrays conscientious objectors and a host of other characters with breath-taking physical and vocal dexterity, in this highly original piece of storytelling.
