A note from our Theatre Company Director Hello TCOE Family! Well, we made it through our first summer together! And what a summer it was! I m not sure I can fully express what this summer meant to me. There were a lot of tears, a lot of laughter, and a lot of pure joy this summer. Hello, Dolly! was one of the best experiences I have had on a stage, and I can say without a doubt I could not have done it without every single one of you. Thank you to my amazing directing staff!! Thank you to our actors that worked so hard!! Thank you to our stage crew that never complained!! Lastly, thank you to my parents and the theatre boosters!! Y all are truly amazing people! You bring your kiddos to hang out with us on a daily basis. You give and give and when we ask for more you give us more. Your families sacrifice for us and we notice. Hello, Dolly! was the shining success because of YOU! So from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for EVERY SINGLE thing you did to make Hello, Dolly! my most amazing introduction into the TCOE history books. ~Bethany Theatre Company Director

Parent initial Student initials I understand that conflicts are due by callbacks on Dec 9 I have read the information on the reverse and agree to it I will attend the cast and parent meeting on Friday, Dec.15 Sequoia room Cast members will receive materials at the MANDATORY CAST AND PARENTS MEETING FRIDAY, DECEMBER 15 @ 6 P.M. in the SEQUOIA ROOM. Students are expected to memorize their songs and dialogue over the winter break so that we can make great use of our limited rehearsal time. We go to a great effort to make a detailed calendar that allows students to only come to rehearsal when we are working on material in which they are involved. For this reason, if a student requests to be absent from a rehearsal or performance date, and if this request was not submitted by Dec. 9, 201 7 then the absence may not be excused and the student may face adverse action including being replaced by another student for the perfor m- ance and production. Requests for absences received after Dec.9, 2017 may or may not be approved based on the discretion of the directors. In determining whether to grant the request for the absence, the directors shall take into consideration factors including, but not limited to: (1) whether the absence is school related; and (2) the impact of the absence on the rehearsal process and the rest of the production. If the directors deny the request for an unscheduled absence or absence date change, the student or the parent/guardian may appeal in writing the directors decision to the County Superintendent or his designee. The appeal to the County Superintendent or his designee must be filed within three (3) business days of the directors decision to deny the absence. The decision of the County Superintendent or his designee on appeal shall be final. Parent Signature: Student Signature:
Bye Bye Birdie Rehearsal Schedule Guideline We believe that the more we communicate now, the less likely we are to have disappointments later. Cast members will receive rehearsal materials at the MANDATORY CAST AND PARENTS MEETING FRIDAY, December 15 @ 6:00 P.M. IN THE SEQUOIA ROOM ($50 tuition due, checks payable to TCOE ) and are expected to memorize their material over the winter break so that we can make great use of our limited rehearsal time. After casting, we will go to a great effort to make a detailed calendar showing songs and page numbers being worked on at each rehearsal in order to allow students to only come to rehearsal when we are working on material in which they are involved, we will work around the conflicts given to us during auditions as well as possible so that everyone is at every rehearsal for the numbers they are part of. For this reason, we rarely excuse absences for things that pop up after the calendar is made. School conflicts must be given to us by the date of callbacks. No personal conflicts should be scheduled after casting. Mature students will rehearse 2-3 days per week, young students 1-2 days per week.
