Our Story Of How It All Began

This story begins on March 13, 2013 when Mark texted Kristin, "Hey, this is Mark. Glad we met tonight" 1 Kristin went on, "Hi! Me too :)" Mark said, "Here's that photo of the Empire State from earlier" "Beautiful, thanks!" answered Kristin. Mark continued, "Hopefully we get to continue our conversation about horses in NYC" Kristin went on, "I think we will..." On March 14, 2013 Mark texted Kristin, "Are you free Tonight?" Kristin continued, "Could be..." To which Mark responded, "How about for a late-night/post-dinner drink?" "Sounds intriguing. Where?" replied Kristin. Mark said, "West 12th Street and Hudson" Then Kristin replied, "OK, 10PM?" Mark said, "Yes" Kristin texted, "Well I'll plan on seeing you there, Mark" "See I told you there were horses roaming free in NYC. They're not all wearing blinders in Central Park." responded Mark. Then Kristin said, "Where is this????" To which Mark responded, "Wouldn't you like to know?" "I would :)" replied Kristin.

2 Mark said, "Stay tuned then... I know some interesting things" Then Kristin replied, "I'm banking on it. Still on for a late-night rendezvous?" "Yup, see you there at 10P." responded Mark. Kristin went on, "Here!" Then Mark said, "I see you" Kristin texted, "I don't see you" Mark continued, "Count down from 5 and you will..." On March 15, 2013 Mark texted Kristin, "I had fun with you last night" "As did I. We should do it again sometime" answered Kristin. Mark texted, "We should do something different next time. What kind of music are you into?" "Deal. All kinds, but this is my favorite song. Do you know which one it is?..."somebody said you got a new friend. Does she love you better than I can? There's a big black sky over my town. I know where you at, I bet she's around. Yeah, I know it's stupid, I just gotta see it for myself..."" answered Kristin. Mark went on, "YES, it's Robyn --- "I'm in the corner watching you kiss her oooh--waa-oooh. I'm right over here, why can't you see me, oooh-wahhoooooo. I keep dancin" "on my own..." This can be OUR song..." Kristin then replied with, "LOL. Perfect!" Mark texted, "By the way, what was that word you used to describe that conversation the group behind us at the bar was having?" Then Kristin said, "Don't remember" "Oh! Was the word 'fracas'?"

3 Mark continued, "Yes! Fracas!" "Interesting..." "Is it?" answered Kristin. To which Mark responded, "Yes" Kristin texted, "Good. So are you" "What are you up to today?" responded Mark. Kristin continued, "I'm hosting a work luncheon" "Oh really? How's the food?" answered Mark. "Did I mention that I'm a pretty great cook?" Kristin went on, "You did and yes it should be a pretty good meal here. What do you think?" "Looks good. I can probably top that" answered Mark. "Yeah" Kristin continued, "Oh yeah?" "You should show me sometime" "Name the time and place and I'll be there with groceries" responded Mark. Kristin said, "I will :)" "When then?" texted Mark. To which Kristin responded, "Well let me get through one luncheon before I plan our private one" Mark went on, "Of course, Miss Popular..." Kristin said, "Ha. Ours won't be this boring" "No, it won't be. We should do something tonight" said Mark.

4 Kristin continued, "Would love to, but I'm heading to meet my parents for Dinner..." Mark texted, "Is that set in stone?" Then Kristin said, "Was planning on it, but I could be persuaded otherwise..." "Really? What would have the biggest persuasion power?" responded Mark. Kristin said, "Hmmmmm, I'm always enticed by candy" Mark went on, "Persuasive enough for you to meet me at my place at dusk?" Kristin texted, "Sold! Peach gummies are my favorite! Parents are cancelled. I'll be on the dusk train to your place" "Looking forward to it. Buzz up and I'll leave the door open. See you tonight!" answered Mark. On March 16, 2013 Kristin texted Mark, "Working on a Saturday is extra horrible after the night we had" Mark said, "You poor thing. You were so cute in bed this morning. I couldn't let you go. Thanks for finding the lint in my bellybutton. :) We should make plans." "What are you doing tomm night?" To which Kristin responded, "I loved your lint. No plans tomm." Mark went on, "Make plans with me then. My friend is having a St Patricks Day costume party uptown -- low key" "Sure, but I don't have costume..." said Kristin. Mark said, "Maybe you can go as something that's really into me?" "Oh yeah. That's a real disguise for me. :) and yes, I'm in!" responded

5 Kristin. Mark then replied with, "I thought so. Good, see you Sunday night -- it's 1402 Lexington Avenue -- starts around 8" Kristin went on, "I'll be there" Then Mark replied, "Hope you're not still at work now. Whatchyadoin?" "Was just thinking about you. I know you said you hate drinks with umbrellas, but does this count? It's bubbling up like a science experiment -- and I know how you like science." replied Kristin. Then Mark said, "I do like science... What is that thing? dry ice??!! Thats's a very summer-y looking drink for this time of year" "It is, but I needed a little tropical pick-me-up after the day I had" answered Kristin. Mark texted, "Work?" "It was brutal :(" said Kristin. To which Mark responded, "Maybe if you have a good enough time with me tomm after the Costume party you will want to run away with me afterwards. That would solve the work problem..." Kristin said, "Very enticing" Mark continued, "Good, I aim for enticement" Kristin went on, "I bet you say that to all the girls" "You can bet all you like, but you'll lose" replied Mark. Kristin said, ":) Yeah, I never did have much luck as a gambler" Mark continued, "Stick with me kid" "Well we'll just see about that won't we..." texted Kristin.

6 On March 17, 2013 Mark texted Kristin, "I will be imcommunicado all day so won't be able to communicate. I am banking on just meeting you at the party tonight. Cool?" Kristin went on, "I'm gonna try and spend the entire day sleeping, so that plan works just fine. I will see you later!" "I'm here! And they are playing our song..." To which Mark responded, "I know! Where are you?" Kristin went on, "I'm at the end of the bar -- closest to the door" Then Mark replied, "I see you now -- nice costume. You DO look like a girl who's really into me" "Thanks, it didn't take me very long to whip up. Now how long are you going to creepily watch me from across the room before you come say hi?" texted Kristin. Mark continued, "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5..."

To Kristin - Now that you've agreed to marry me, here is a remembrance of where it all began. During the rest of our lives, I hope to add many more volumes to this chronicle of our time together. txt-book.com
