Dorset CC have produced a Tool Kit to assist in the setting up of a replacement service but it is for the Community to make arrangements with a suitable provider. It is important that the current services are used right up to closure as commercial operators are unlikely to even consider a service carrying less than 12 passengers per trip. This is based around the expectation by DCC that operators successful in being awarded Secondary and Middle contracts may carry fare paying passengers and may be prepared to use the down time between morning and afternoon school runs to provide a commercial service in the area.
