CALL LETTERS FOR WRITTEN TEST TO THE CANDIDATES PROVISIONALLY CONSIDERED: Call letters have been e-mailed to those candidates whose online application has been provisionally considered for the next stage, on their e-mail id provided. Candidates are required to carry the following documents to the test centre failing which they shall be disallowed from appearing in the written test. Accordingly, entry to the Test Centre/ Examination Hall would be strictly on production of these documents and the same will be collected by the invigilator: o Printout of the Call Letter emailed to the candidate. o Printout of Online Application Form submitted by the candidate, along with his selfattested photograph affixed at the box provided on the right corner of the application form.* o Printout of Mandatory Declaration Form, duly filled in and signed.(please see Annexure A of this document) o Valid Identity proof (in original-for verification as well as Xerox copy-for submission). Candidate is further advised that Aadhar Card/ PAN Card/ Driving License/ Voters ID/ Passport will only be considered as ID proof for the purpose of written test. Any other Identity proof will not be accepted. There is no separate admit card/hall ticket required to be downloaded. Only the documents mentioned as above need to be brought at the test centre. Please note that the invitation to appear in the Written Test does not constitute an offer of appointment or employment with the Corporation. Further, the candidature of the candidate is provisional. In case it is found that any information submitted by the candidate is false, incorrect, misleading or inaccurate at any point in time, during or after the recruitment process, his candidature will be rejected/ cancelled and he will stand disqualified. *In case candidates are unable to locate their online application form they are requested to search for the mail from info@bpclcareers.in in their e-mail or go the link https://bharatpetroleum.com/careers/operator-field-userlogin.aspx and download the same using their primary e-mail id as login and application id no. as the password. 2. WRITTEN TEST RELATED: Written Test is scheduled on 17.07.2016. Written Test starts at 10.00 am and duration of the test shall be two hours. Candidate must report at the test centre by 8:30 am sharp. Late entry after the start of exam will not be permitted. Corporation will not be responsible for any delay encountered by the candidate in reaching/locating the test centre. Candidate is advised to plan travel appropriately. No Lodging & Boarding expenses etc. will be borne by the Corporation. The written test will comprise of objective questions and medium of test will be Hindi/ English. There will be two sections- one section of Generic Aptitude Assessment and other section of Technical Aptitude Assessment. Generic Aptitude Assessment will assess candidates on their
quantitative aptitude, reasoning abilities and basic English language skills. Technical Aptitude Assessment will assess the candidates on their technical understanding which will broadly include questions on basic concepts related to electrical, electronics, instrumentation & mechanical area of ITI/NTC level and basic chemistry understanding of SSC level, as per the broad knowledge and understanding expected for the role of Operator (Field) from an ITI/NTC from NCVT certified person. Qualifying each section with desired cut-off marks would be mandatory. Each objective question is followed by multiple choices. The candidate has to choose the correct option and mark the same in the OMR Sheet by darkening the correct option in the OMR sheet. Candidate should use black ball point only to fill the OMR sheet. Gel pens/ Pencils/ Markers etc. are not allowed. Maximum marks for written test is 100. Candidates will be required to answer 100 objective questions. Each question will carry one mark. There will be no negative marks for the wrong answers / unattended questions. Seating plan will be as per the Roll Numbers allotted to the candidates, as given in their call letter. Before proceeding to the Examination Halls/Rooms the candidates are required to check their seat allocation at the Test Centre Notice Board. In case of difficulty, they should contact the coordinator at the test centre. No candidate will be permitted to leave the Examination Hall before the completion of test and without prior permission of the invigilator for any purpose whatsoever. After finishing the examination, candidate should hand over the complete Question Booklet along with the filled in OMR Sheet to the Room Invigilator. He is strictly prohibited from carrying the Question Booklet/ OMR Sheet or any part of it outside the examination room. 3. OTHERS: Outstation SC/ST/PWD candidates appearing for the Written Test shall be reimbursed Sleeper Class Train / Non-AC Bus Fare by the shortest route, on the production of necessary proof of applicable caste/category proof and travel proof provided the distance is not less than 30 KMs from the venue of the written test. To avail the reimbursement, candidates have to submit duly filled in enclosed Travel Declaration Form (please see the Annexure B for the format). Candidates found using unethical/unfair means during the written test would be disqualified. Canvassing in any form will be considered as a disqualification. Corporation s discretion and decision will be final and binding on all candidates. Instructions at the test centers must be duly followed and adhered to by the candidate. For all purposes, interpretation as per English version of this letter shall prevail. Candidates are advised not to bring any valuables/costly items to the Examination Halls. Calculators / Mobile Phones/ Pagers/ electronic items and reference Material will not be permitted inside the Examination Hall. BPCL will not be responsible for any theft/loss of the same. Corporation reserves its right to include/exclude any test centre at any stage. No request for change in date, time or venue of tests shall be entertained for any reason whatsoever. Note: These instructions are broad in nature, further specific instructions will be provided in the Question Paper/OMR sheets/by the invigilators/coordinators at the test which candidate is advised to take note of carefully.
