Option #2: Banned Books Persuasive Letter Books have been banned for many different reasons throughout the years. Below you will find a list of several popular books that have been banned from schools and the reasons for their banishment. You will choose one of the prompts that are listed below and write a persuasive letter in order to convince your principal of why these books should or should not be banned from your school district. Choose one of the following prompts to research and write a persuasive letter to your principal on why these books should or should not be banned. 1. Harry Potter should be banned from schools because the series involves witchcraft. 2. The Goosebumps series should be banned from schools because it is too scary for children. 3. The Giver should be banned from schools because it contains ideas about brainwashing and conformity.
