1.1 The logo The guidelines in this section apply to the highest level of the Dow AgroSciences organization, when communicators are promoting Dow AgroSciences as a business entity or when the RCU or country is describing itself as a business entity. The logo In contractual agreements with other parties for either technology or product (both in crop protection and seeds GBUs), the current practice will dictate the use of company identity. Where the Dow AgroSciences logo is currently used, the new Dow AgroSciences logo should replace it. If the company name is used without the logo, it should continue to be used in the same way. The Dow AgroSciences corporate logo is comprised of the DOW Diamond mark and Dow AgroSciences word mark. Where both elements appear in print they are locked up and should not be separated, ecept in certain situations where space is limited, then the DOW Diamond can be used alone, such as sponsorships and promotional apparel. The word mark is set in the Theinhardt corporate font and is not to be typeset in this or any other typeface. To ensure consistent use, please always use the provided artwork file for this logo. Diamond mark USING THE DOW AGROSCIENCES LOGO ON SIGNAGE When updating Dow AgroSciences signage, use the new Dow AgroSciences logo according to the rules eplained within these guidelines. All R&D and operations facilities should use the new Dow AgroSciences corporate logo. Primary brands (such as Mycogen and Dow Seeds) should not be used prominently on building signage. The preferred background color for signs is Pantone 424 Gray (or another gray if signage material does not allow the eact use of this color), with white as the second background option. Word mark Where local legal entity is required on signage, it should be listed as second in prominence to the Dow AgroSciences logo. If furrows are desired on signage, use the Version 4 furrows, as noted in section 1.6. 12
1.1.1 The logo Versions Use the 2-color Dow AgroSciences logo whenever possible. Regardless of where it is applied, use the 1-color black logo only when reproduction techniques are limited or when there is a concern about the use of red within the geography. 2-COLOR LOGO Use whenever possible Use the reversed 2-color logo on dark color backgrounds. 1.1.2 The logo Incorrect usage Use the logo art provided as is. Do not modify it in any way. Use.jpg files for onscreen applications such as the web, and vector files (e.g.,.eps) for print applications. DO NOT place the logo over photography. Whenever possible, place it on a white or solid, contrasting color background. DO NOT separate the DOW Diamond from the Dow AgroSciences word mark or create a stacked version of the logo. Seeds DO NOT add to the logo or create product or division lock-ups. DO NOT change the color of the logo or add effects, such as the drop shadow seen here. DO NOT distort the logo. Maintain proper proportions when scaling the logo. 14

1.1.4 The logo Clear space, position and minimum size Clearance space on all sides of the logo should be a minimum of a distance equal to the height of the letter D within the DOW Diamond in the corporate logo.
