Los Angeles Golden sunshine, stunning coastline, palm-lined boulevards, incredible eateries and amazing nightlife, Hollywood, Malibu, the Sunset Strip, Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, the list goes on. Los Angeles is a sprawling Southern California city and the center of America s film and television industry. Near its iconic Hollywood sign, studios such as Paramount Pictures, Universal and Warner Brothers hold court over an amazing city filled with talent from every quarter. From arts and sports to film and fashion, Los Angeles is at the top of the game. Go deeper and finds incredible highlights like the Getty Center, home to European and American art and extensive gardens; the Griffith Observatory with its panoramic skyline views; fabulous beaches including Venice, complete with funky shops on a colorful boardwalk, and Santa Monica, whose pier offers rides and games. Live music venues dot the billboard-lined Strip running through the West Hollywood area. The city is alive and electric. Ready to visit? Day 1 Welcome Dinner Fly to Los Angeles and transfer to your hotel. We ll start with a Visions Welcome & Safety Meeting to get set up for success and then this evening, we ll get to know each other a bit with a fabulous Welcome Dinner. Day 2 Breakfast & dinner included; lunch on own After starting the day with breakfast, we ll head to NoHo (North Hollywood). This morning we ll engage in a class to get us in the scene! Lights, Camera, Action: Make your own movie; pick your theme - Zombie, Comedy, Adventure. We ll provide everything - makeup, sound, camera, director and crew of experienced L.A. film makers. If you want to be behind the camera, join the crew. You can learn how makeup artists turn people into zombies or rock stars and how the set works. If you want to act, sing or dance, we'll get you in costume and makeup, ready for your close-up. Go home with a copy of the movie you made in L.A.! After our class, we ll transfer to Sony Studios for a behind-the-scenes tour: Take the Sony Pictures Studios Tour and step back into a legendary time. Located on one of the world's most famous studio lots, the walking tour gives a rare glimpse of old Hollywood's glory days and an insider's view of a state-of-the-art motion picture studio. The dynamic studio tour guides will shed light on the film and television production process by taking you to various soundstages and sharing tales of days gone by. After Sony, we re off to Madame Tussauds Hollywood before enjoying a group dinner in Hollywood this evening.
Day 3 Breakfast included; lunch & dinner on own We ll start the day with another exciting experience, production of a short film. Producing a 3-minute Short Film: Less really can be more 3-minute features are the latest thing - learn from the experts at 52 Films/52 Weeks. Understand the importance of story, subject, genre, and making every second count. Whether you are interested in producing, directing, writing or acting, in this 3-minute feature workshop you will learn everything you need to know about this exciting new genre. When finished, it s time for some great L.A. sightseeing! We ll start with the famous Dolby Theatre, previously known as the Kodak Theatre: Experience the renowned elegance and celebrity glamor that the Home of the Academy Awards has to offer. Guests will see an Oscar statuette, visit the George Eastman VIP Room and more. Afterwards, we ll embark upon a special Hollywood-Behind-the-Scenes Walking Tour with our favorite guides at Redline: Anyone can walk Hollywood Blvd, but Hollywood Behind-the-Scenes is more than just a walk, it s an exploration of Hollywood's secrets. Visit movie locations, legendary movie palaces, the Walk of Fame, view the Hollywood Sign, and visit celebrities favorite hidden hideaways. Go inside places normally closed to the public and get a chance to place your feet onto your favorite celebrity s footprints at the Chinese theater. Finally, for those that have their interest piqued, we ll check out some fabulous Hollywood Neighborhoods: Sit back and relax See breath-taking mansions in a fully narrated, 2-hour tour. The Neighborhood tour is a must for any movie buff, and gives a fascinating new perspective on the lives of Hollywood s leading men and women. This evening the night is free to explore. Dinner is on your own so you can check out L.A. s best trendy restaurants and enjoy a stunning evening. Day 4 Breakfast & dinner included; lunch on own Today we ll have the day to have some serious fun at Universal Studios Theme Park. Universal Studios Hollywood: With thrilling park rides and shows, a real working movie studio and Los Angeles best shops, restaurants and all-new cinema, Universal Studios Hollywood is a unique experience that s fun for guests of every age. Witness real sets from some of your favorite movies on the Studio Tour; experience hair-raising thrills and heart-pounding surprises on incredible rides! After our full day at Universal, we ll have dinner while at CityWalk, located on the grounds of Universal Studios, with some free time to explore the great shops. Day 5 Breakfast & dinner included; lunch on own Another exciting day awaits us. We ll start with our final class: Screenwriting Workshop: Learn how to write a great script, by workshopping ideas on stage and using fun and helpful screenwriting exercises and interactive, constructive, critical analysis.
And then from there, we ll spend the day at Santa Monica & Venice Beaches. Venice Beach: Unlike any place on Earth, Venice is well known for its artists, street performers and its funky atmosphere A virtual year-round carnival! While here, bicycle rentals are included so we can cruise the boardwalk while soaking up the California sunshine. Santa Monica Beach: Home the famous Santa Monica Pier with its historic carousel and more recently added Pacific Park Amusement Park, the outdoor Third Street Promenade, the panoramic coastline and beach, beautiful parks. This evening we ll have dinner on the Santa Monica Pier overlooking the stunning Pacific Ocean. Day 6 Breakfast included After breakfast and before checking in at the airport, time permitting, we ll have one last sightseeing tour. Downtown Los Angeles Walking Tour: This "Historic Downtown Los Angeles" tour explores a city virtually unchanged since the glory days of Hollywood. Our guide will lead us inside some of America's most beautiful old picture palaces including the Palace Theater, which is the oldest Orpheum Theatre in the world - a survivor from the days of vaudeville. You will also see the Million Dollar Theatre - the world's first movie palace built by Sid Grauman, originator of the world famous Chinese Theatre. If perhaps a historic tour isn t your thing, you can also opt for a Contemporary Downtown Tour which focuses on arts and architecture. After our fabulous exploration, we ll transfer to the airport for our flight home, saying goodbye to our new friends and taking away memories that will last a lifetime!
