4 Scholarly output BRICS (Article and Reviews) Scholarly output in Russia is steadily increasing over the years to over 51,000 documents in 2016. 25 Scopus content strategy for local content Scopus is committed to ensure that the coverage of high quality regional journals remains a key source of differentiation. Like any journal covered in Scopus, regional journals are fully integrated in the Scopus database. Content is treated in the same way according the same high quality standards with the same functionality and tools available.
26 Scopus works with various reputable research organizations worldwide to ensure best local coverage Three types of local content selection initiatives: 1. Local boards Korea, Thailand, Russia and China 2. Local content vetting Scopus team works with local organizations to ensure the top local journals are suggested for Scopus review by the CSAB. Local boards and CSAB work together. 3. Editor workshops for Editors in a specific country with focus on how to make journals better to be at a Scopus level
