This event will be held in the Faculty of Law, UiTM, Shah Alam, Selangor, MALAYSIA. We are currently inviting abstract submissions for presentation at the 2017 1 st International Conference for Environmental Researchers and Teachers. Abstracts should focus on the theme of the conference: To conserve, To Develop. The objective of this conference is to become a platform for researchers and academicians to share their work and findings through their presentations. This conference is also a place for researchers and teachers to develop their work and get it published in the conference journal. Environmental issues are related to many fields. It can be related to the natural resources environment, to the manmade or built environment and to the social and working environment. We look forward to welcoming you and your contribution to the ongoing success of this annual conference. We are seeking abstracts from researchers doing environmental research and teachers who would like to share their contribution in creating environmental concerns and awareness in their environmental subjects. Abstracts should contain a description of its aim, method, essential results and a brief conclusion within 400 words. Abstracts should include a maximum of 5 keywords. Abstracts should be submitted to: icert2017.celgop@gmail.com Abstracts will be reviewed as received, with a final deadline of Sunday, 10 September 2017 and full paper submission by Sunday, 10 September 2017. The Centre will publish all presented abstracts in an abstract book and a collection of the conference papers after sufficient edition and peer-reviewing following the Conference in peer reviewed journals.
PAPER SUBMISSION FORMAT: Template for Submitting Papers to ICERT2017 Your Paper Title Here (14p) Author One 1 and Author Two 2 1 Affiliation, Address, City, State 2 Affiliation, Address, City, State Email Address Abstract Your paper should be produced in accordance with the guidance and formatting instructions contained and embedded within this electronic document. Abstracts should contain a description of its aim, method, essential results and a brief conclusion within 400 words. Author One will be the corresponding author s name. Please do not use titles such as Dr, Professor, etc. The email address must be that of the corresponding author. Keywords: Up to 5 keywords should be provided in alphabetical order separated by commas. Formatting should be as described above. Introduction There are two points described in the following subsections. Title Type the title in bold type, single-spaced, and centred across the top of the first page, in 14 point Times New Roman, as illustrated above. The full title of your paper should not exceed 25 words. Page limit The paper should be submitted in one column format with at least 4cm margins and 1.5 line spacing throughout. Authors are advised to use Times New Roman 12-point font and MS Word format. Papers submitted should be between 6 to 12 pages. This includes footnotes and endnotes, all figures, tables, and references. Headings Headings should be in bold type, in 12-point Times New Roman. First-level headings should be centred, as illustrated above. Second-level headings should be flush left with initial caps.
Do not use headings other than these two types. At least one line space should separate headings from the preceding text. Content of Writing Your writing should be elaborated in the following manner; Text should be prepared with the headings; Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgements, References, and Supplementary data (if available) in this order. The Introduction explains the scope and objective of the study in the light of current knowledge on the subject; the Materials and Methods describes how the study was conducted; the Results section reports what was found in the study; and the Discussion section explains meaning and significance of the results and provides suggestions for future directions of research. Tables and Figures Figures and tables should be placed as close as possible to where they are cited. All tables and figures should be embedded into the file and sized appropriately. Figures and tables should be prepared in a consistent form and should be numbered consecutively with Roman numerals. All photographs should be sampled at 300 dpi (dots per inch). Keep in mind that web graphics are typically sampled at 72 dpi. Photographs must be properly sized and positioned in the body of the paper. Conclusion In this section, the theory and the findings should be tied up together. This must also reflect whether the theory is in line with the research question or otherwise. References References begin on their own page and are listed in alphabetical order by the first author's last name. Only references cited within the text should be included. All references should be in 12-point font and double-spaced. When formatting your references, please follow the APA reference style (6th Edition). Ensure that the references are strictly in the prescribed style, failing which your article will not be accepted for peer-review. You may refer to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association for further details (http://www.apastyle.org/). General Guidelines Abbreviations: Define alphabetically, other than abbreviations that can be used without definition. Words or phrases that are abbreviated in the introduction and following text should be written out in full the first time that they appear in the text, with each abbreviated form in parenthesis. Include the common name or scientific name, or both, of animal and plant materials.
Acknowledgements: Individuals and entities that have provided essential support such as research grants and fellowships and other sources of funding should be acknowledged. Contributions that do not involve researching (clerical assistance or personal acknowledgements) should not appear in acknowledgements. Authors Affiliation: The primary affiliation for each author should be the institution where the majority of their work was done. If an author has subsequently moved to another institution, the current address may also be stated in parenthesis. Co-Authors: The commonly accepted guideline for authorship is that one must have substantially contributed to the development of the paper and share accountability for the results. Researchers should decide who will be an author and what order they will be listed depending upon their order of importance to the study. Other contributions should be cited in the paper's Acknowledgements. Copyright Permissions: Authors should seek necessary permissions for quotations, artwork, boxes or tables taken from other publications or from other freely available sources on the Internet before submission. Acknowledgement must be given to the original source in the illustration legend, in a table footnote, or at the end of the quotation. Page Numbering: Every page, including the title page, references, tables, etc. should be numbered. Spelling: The ICERT2017 uses American or British spelling and authors may follow the latest edition of the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary for British spellings. Review Process The submission will be reviewed by the review committee. A final decision on any submission will be made and communicated to the corresponding author within 3 weeks of the date of submission. Submission of Papers Authors submitting papers do so understanding that the work has not been previously published, is not being considered for publication elsewhere, and has been read and approved by all authors identified. All editing costs must be borne by the author(s). This step, taken by authors before submission, will greatly facilitate reviewing, and thus publication if the content is acceptable. Submission of a paper means that the authors automatically agree to assign exclusive copyright to the conference organizers. The conference organizers will not be held responsible for opinions or statements expressed by its authors.
