STAGE Brief Stage Description: The Laycock St Theatre is a proscenium arch form with a raked auditorium and an orchestra pit, which is normally covered to provide a thrust area. Stage is unraked with flying facilities. The sprung timber floor is constructed of two layers of 12mm OSB board on MGP battens at 300mm centres on a concrete slab. The top layer is 6.4mm tempered Masonite painted low sheen black. Screwing into surface is permitted but larger holes must be authorised by Technical Coordinator or Technician on Duty. There is a recessed cable tray with covers surrounding the entire stage.
