Truly s Technologies for Automotive LCD I ETN (Enhanced TN): Negative TN with Dye-doped LC to enhance higher contrast at specified backlight, such as amber/red/white BL. ESTN (Enhance STN): Negative STN with Dye-doped LC to enhance higher contrast at specified backlight, such as amber/red BL. Better performance at high temp than normal STN. DSTN (Double STN, with or without heater): Good contrast at low temp and high temp because of LC delta N compensation. ASTN (Advanced STN, using special polarizer): High Temp-compensation like DSTN, but thinner and lighter than DSTN.

PDLC display (Polymer dispersed LC display): For safety at night Used for frontview mirror inside the automotive. ITO-HEATER: For improving response time at low temperature such as 40c. Black mask with color printing for car audio application. Screen printing color on glass or polarizer. ACN (Area Color Nematic): This technology can make passive LCD display color performance, and very similar to TFT display, but the development cost and unit price are lower very much comparing to TFT. Driving method is totally same as normal mono display, no need to use color driver IC, that s to say, if customer want to upgrade from mono to color, we only need change the display, and will not impact customer s software or hardware.

(2) Background color uniformity at every area is very good. (3) Temperature range same as normal TBN/TN. (4) Response time same as normal TBN/TN. (5) Excellent contrast ratio, normally used for negative display. (6) Transmissivity is lower than normal TBN, about 3%(white color), so if customer have high luminance requirements of LCD surface, need to be careful when choosing backlight solution.
