LIBRARIAN S GUIDE MORE READING FOR PATRONS. LESS SPENDING FOR LIBRARIES. NO BARRIERS TO ACCESS Dear librarian, The advantages enabled by digital books should be translated to richer selection and better service for patrons. Yet most ebooks in libraries today follow the print paradigm, with one-userone-copy, holds, expirations, etc. Total Boox comes to change this by introducing a revolutionary model providing a superior service to patrons, and an extremely cost-effective solution to libraries. Our whole catalog of over 35,000 quality ebooks (and growing rapidly), is fully available to all patrons at all times. No holds, no limitations, no expirations. Patrons download hundreds of books to their devices, read online and offline, and keep the books on their devices indefinitely. The cost to the library is based on what patrons actually read, which is only a fraction of what is checked out. Gone are the days libraries had to pay upfront high prices for books that may never leave the shelf. The Total Boox service is available in many libraries with great success. Please consider adding the service to your library as well. For questions about our library service, contact Peyton Stafford at peyton@totalboox.com

Real time reports, with drill-down capabilities.

THE LIBRARIAN S DASHBOARD It is essential for librarians to know their community. Total Boox has created a unique first-ever tool providing librarians with detailed insight on the interests and activities of their patrons. An authorized librarian can monitor in real-time, or per any specified period, which titles are being checked out, at which branch and how they are being read. The system meticulously guards all personal information, and it does not reveal or enable access to any information pertaining to an individual s reading habits.

35,000 BOOKS AND GROWING Total Boox has agreements with many established publishers, including, among others, Workman, Algonquin, New World Library, Sourcebooks, Other Press, Berlitz, Red Wheel Weiser, O Reilly Media, Berrett-Koehler, Elsevier, F+W Media and many more.

OUR MARKETING TOOLS Newsletters Sent to library patrons registered to receive updates via email and written by professional editors, our newsletters keep readers abreast of the titles made available to them each week. With a remarkable 50-percent open rate, Total Boox newsletters may focus on new and forthcoming titles or be centered around specific subjects, authors, genres, trends, holidays, and current events. Reading Shelves Reading shelves are collections of titles created by publishers, librarians, or patrons on topics of their choice (e.g., gluten-free diets, starting your own business, beach reads). Publishers may create as many shelves as they want, decide on the number of titles to add to each, and name them as they see fit. Once a shelf is shared, anyone can see it and download it. Shelves may also be event-specific and used for book club readings and Reader s Advisory. Author Shelves An Author Shelf is a reading shelf containing all the books by a specific author available on Total Boox. With one click, readers can download to their device the full collection of books by any author they like.

Editors Picks & Just Arrived carousel Two carousels appear on our homepage, right below the top banner: Editors Picks and Just Arrived. Both carefully curated by Total Boox staff and designed to highlight the books that grabbed the attention of our editors, the carousels feature a wide variety of titles from all our publishing partners and from every category: absorbing biographies, travel adventures, popular fiction, science, spirituality, business, and much more. Check Me Out spotlight Prominently displayed on the Total Boox homepage, the Check Me Out box features a series of titles, presented one at a time, that our editors are encouraging patrons to check out. These range from latest thrillers and romance novels to cookbooks, self-growth, business, and everything in between. Clicking this box takes the user straight to that title page, where the book is described in more detail and available for instant download. Reader s Advisory service In an ongoing effort to help libraries provide superior ebook service to patrons, Total Boox is assembling a team of librarian experts to serve as readers advisors on a variety of topics, particularly those that currently form the core of our collection (e.g., fiction, self-help, business & management, parenting, computers). The advisors will engage patrons on a rolling basis, respond to their queries online, and recommend titles and authors based on current events, trends, and anything else they deem interesting or important. Publishers may reach out to them directly to keep them informed of their own initiatives.

More ebooks from this author now on Total Boox www.totalboox.com More ebooks on this subject now on Total Boox www.totalboox.com Book stickers Libraries don t always own all books published by one author. If the book a library owns in print is also available in Total Boox, or if more books by the same author are available in our system but not in the stacks, the library may put a sticker on that book to alert the patron of the options. We supply each library with a roll of a few hundred stickers (based on need and demand), about two inches in diameter, with the text explaining the availability of the title or related titles online. Posters Featuring a unified layout and a host of images to promote the breadth of our collection, our posters are designed for display in libraries that provide the Total Boox service. Their main purpose is to raise awareness of our platform and to drive more online reading among patrons who visit the library. Posters may feature bestsellers in certain categories, highlight one author or a series of books, or show the offerings from one of our publishing partners. For questions about our library service, contact Peyton Stafford at peyton@totalboox.com
