accredited by January 2013 and my manager pretty much made it clear that I gotta have my CT license or medicare won't pay for our patients. I was freaking out... I got the MIC book, but it was like 1000 pages long and that freaked me out even more.. I then stumbled upon this book and read the reviews on it. This was going to be a hit or miss mission I needed to accomplish. Mind you I also am working full time here. I studied the whole weekend for 12 hours straight and from 4-9pm every day for 5 days.. I just took to registry test to AND PASSED WITH 93%!!!!!!!! WOOHOOO!!! I first took the 600 questions online that come with the book to see where my level was at (68 %). I then went to the end of the book and studied all the definitions.. (Like literally memorized them). I then read and studied the whole book (from cover to cover). I then took the practice tests at the end twice. I identified my weaknesses and the night before I went over my practice tests again and the questions online that I flagged. There were a lot of identical questions on this book that were on the registry test. The anatomy illustrated in the book is all you need!to my fellow procrastinators... You can do this! The book's questions and explanations are easy to understand, and they are harder than the actual registry questions! Good luck everyone.. if I could do it.. so can you! :) This is the only book you really need to pass your CT registry exam!!!! The practice exams in the back of the book are very helpful. A lot of the questions on the boards were right out of those questions. The anatomy pictures in the book are the only ones you really need to study from because a lot of those same pictures were on the boards. The book is great because it breaks everything down and makes it very easy to study from. I didn't use the online questions but I'm sure that would have been helpful. Overall this book is great and I've glad I used it to study cause I Passed my boards with flying colors!!! Book sounds great but info fails to mention that the code for online access to registry review questions does NOT come with Kindle version! That is a major selling point of this book and it is taken away for the kindle version. Save yourself the time on the phone with customer service and do not buy this. You are stuck with the dead tree version unless you want to fork over another 51 bucks for online access. thats more than the paperback with included access costs... are you kidding me?! This book is great for studying for the CT exam. It comes with online access to over 600 review questions as well.
I just passed my CT registry test by just studying this book. Before I bought this book I read all the comments that people wrote about it, so I decided to give it a try with only three weeks of studying. I would recommend this book to any one who really want to learn and pass there CT registry. This is the only book you need I just took my registry and I got a 91!! I began to study the MIC version that everyone said to study. I also bought this book. After a day or two of trying to figure out MIC, I opened this book and it explained everything to me in a way I could understand. It uses examples and is in list form instead of paragraph which helps break up all the the facts for me. I absolutely recommend this book!!! Passed my registry with flying colors using this guide almost exclusively. The online tests are very handy, but the paper practice tests in the back of the book are far more helpful in preparing for the real thing. I started working towards CT certification in 2014 at the urging of my director. I also felt that mandatory certification was coming down the pipeline sooner than later. I studied this book along with the Evolve 630 online questions off and on for about 6 months, and then really crammed the last month. The first time I took the 1st mock test was before I studied anything and scored a 43 percent. Right before my boards I was scoring between 75 and 85. I tried to use a coworker's MIC to study but ended up closing it just as soon as I opened it. Mosby's Exam Review for Computed Tomography is where it's at. I passed CT boards with an 88. I taught myself the didactic portion of CT-did not go to a class or course at all. Googled a lot of anatomy and CT physics questions so I could study anywhere, anytime with my smartphone. The last time I studied for boards was in 2005 for my primary radiography registry so if I can pass another registry 10 1/2 years later then you can surely pass as well! Definitely recommend for my coworkers now that they will need to be certified by 2018 due to the new Joint Comission mandate. Good luck everyone!*i've been doing CT for a decade, just never bothered to become certified until recently. So I knew more going in than someone who has hardly any CT experience. Something to keep in mind when deciding if this is the right study review for you.
