Available In Seven Different Sizes FLUTES Hall Crystal Flutes are unique musical instruments with beautiful tones and elegant designs. Both beginner and accomplished musicians find them delightful because of their crystal clear tone quality. Hall Crystal Flutes are hand crafted using Borosylicate glass and are decorated with kiln-fired glass enamels and 22k gold, making each flute a work of art itself. Hall Crystal Flutes make great impulse sale items year around and also make popular gift items for Christmas, birthdays and other special occasions. Each flute is carefully hand tuned and shaped with a modern Boehm taper to produce a note range of two and one half octaves. Included with each flute is a fingering chart, dark green gift box, and a one year manufacturer s full warranty against accidental breakage. HALL CRYSTAL PICCOLO IN D" Inline D Piccolo...$59.00 2 octave range Length: 11.1 inches 281mm x 15mm Primary Key: D Secondary Key: G Our highest pitched and smallest piccolo makes clean crisp sounds softer and mellower than the silver piccolo. The D piccolo plays one note higher than our C piccolo. Both piccolos are great for small hands, for the fingering holes are placed closer together than on our other flutes making it easier to cover the tone holes. The piccolo, being a higher pitched instrument, requires a tighter embouchure than the larger flutes. HALL CRYSTAL PICCOLO IN "C" Inline C Piccolo...$62.00 2 octave range Length: 12.5 inches 317mm x 16mm Primary Key: C Secondary Key: F Our lower pitched piccolo makes clean crisp sounds softer and mellower than the silver piccolo. The C piccolo plays one note lower than our D piccolo. Both piccolos are great for small hands, for the fingering holes are placed closer together than on our other flutes making it easier to cover the tone holes. The piccolo, being a higher pitched instrument, requires a tighter embouchure than the larger flutes. HALL CRYSTAL FLUTE IN "G" Inline or Offset G Flute...$82.00 2 ½ octave range Length: 16.6 inches 421mm x 18mm Primary Key: G Secondary Key: C Our middle sized flute produces a tone that is a cross between the piccolo and the D flute. The tone holes are spaced such that an average teen or women s sized hand can cover them. This is a good choice for the novice flutist. HALL CRYSTAL FLUTE IN "F" Inline or Offset F Flute...$92.00 2 ½ octave range Length: 18.5 inches 471mm x 20mm Primary Key: F Secondary Key: Bb Our F flute has a fingering stretch that is just slightly larger than the G flute. The tone carries some of the warmer, deeper tone qualities of the D Flute. While slightly larger than the G flute, this flute should still be playable by an average teen or women s sized hand. HALL CRYSTAL FLUTE IN "Eb" Inline or Offset Eb Flute...$104.00 2 ½ octave range Length: 20.6 inches - 523mm x 22mm Primary Key: Eb Secondary Key: Ab This flute is very close in size and tone to our large D flute. It plays just one half step higher than the D flute. It is in the same key as the saxophone, so it is great for Jazz solos or playing along with your favorite Jazz recordings. HALL CRYSTAL FLUTE IN "D" Inline or Offset D Flute...$110.00 2 ½ octave range Length: 21.8 inches - 553mm x 22mm Primary Key: D Secondary Key: G Our large D flute produces deep and beautiful mellow tones. This flute is highly recommended for the adult professional and novice players alike. The D flute is the easiest to play providing the finger holes can be sealed properly. The larger embouchure hole requires less air. The D flute s tone is deeper and mellower than our smaller flutes. HALL CRYSTAL FLUTE IN "C" Inline or Offset C Flute...$123.00 2 ½ octave range Length: 24.5 inches - 624mm x 25mm Primary Key: C Secondary Key: F This is the largest and deepest flute that we make. The finger stretch on this flute is huge. I recommend this flute only for people with very large man sized hands. I would also recommend selecting the offset tone hole option for this flute. Our large C flute is a special order item: This custom item will be made upon request and does not come in our standard green box packaging. 2

FLUTES Available With Inline Or Offset Tone Holes We are now offering an option for offset tone holes. For traditional inline tone holes, all the holes are lined up in one straight line down the flute. This gives the flute a symmetrical look, but does not place the holes in the most comfortable position for playing the flute. For smaller and mid-sized flutes this generally is not a problem. But when you get into the larger size flutes where the stretch is slightly out of your comfort zone, switching to offset tone holes can make all the difference in creating a comfortable playing experience. OFFSET TONE HOLES Normally, if the flute fits your hand size, one can easily play using in-line tone holes. But, as you reach the outer limits of your finger stretch, your fingers are more comfortable by rotating the holes slightly on the flute. The actual positions vertically on the flute can t be changed without changing the pitch, but the tone holes can be rotated around the flute without any change in pitch. For our offset tone holes, the first finger of each hand is in line with the mouth hole. The second finger is rotated slightly away from the hand. And the third finger is rotated closer to the hand. You can see this in the illustrations below. Inline Tone Holes Showing Right Hand Tone Holes Flute Foot Center Line Offset Tone Holes Showing Right Hand Tone Holes Flute Foot Center Line To order your crystal flute with offset tone holes, simply change the first digit of the stock number. In-line flutes start with a 1 and Offset flutes start with a 2. For example, a G flute with the Carolina decoration is item number 11702. The same flute with offset tone holes would be 21702.
