HCPA Overview The Higley Center for the Performing Arts was built by the Higley Unified School District #60 and opened in the spring of 2006. The 37,500 sq. ft. facility, which has a 1235 Seat Concert Hall and a 186 seat Little Theater. Annually, over 550 productions are displayed on the HCPA stages. The Center is well equipped for basic productions and continues to build its inventory of professional theatrical, sound and lighting equipment. The following technical specifications are current as of the date show on the cover page of this document. The Higley Unified School District reserves sole discretion as to the nature of events and productions that take place in the Center. A. Seating Area (House) 1221 fixed seats 14 handicap each handicap seat has one (1) companion seat and are located in the following positions: Six (6) in front row One (1) far left and one (1) far right mid-house One (1) left and one (1) right of the mixing position One (1) far left and one (1) far right of the mixing position One (1) in each rear seating section left and right of main entrance Seating divided into five sections: House left - 327 fixed + 3 handicap Center - 242 fixed, 6 - handicap House right - 327 fixed, 3 - handicap House left rear - 162 fixed, 1 - handicap House right rear - 163 fixed, 1 - handicap Sound and light control (open booth) located behind center seating area. Three entrances located on each side of the auditorium with the main entrance located directly behind the mixing position. Listen Infra-red assisted listening devices are available. Please request at least one week in advance. B. Parking Main parking is located on the west side of the complex. Additional parking is available east of the Center and north of the adjacent high school. C. Access to Stage Principal Loading Dock Dock at stage height, single bobtail truck with additional parking for second bobtail truck and two tour buses, single automatic door 12 feet tall by 10 feet wide. Equipment must be lifted or ramped off of truck. Pallet jack and fork lift available if requested early. Stage Loading Door is the same dimensions as the loading dock door. D. Backstage Support Two (2) chorus size dressing rooms (Male and Female) Each has 6 individual make-up stations, Max occupancy is 30. Each are equipped with toilets, showers and lockers. User must supply his/her own lock.

One (1) green room Kitchen amenities available. Additional charges may apply if office equipment is requested. Little Theater The Little Theater has a small stage and seats 186. This space may be used as actor or musician warm up room or dressing room for an additional charge. Please schedule when booking the Concert Hall. Scene Shop Located off stage through USL loading door. Room is 37 wide by 27 deep by 16 high. (Loading door is 12 high). This door is primarily used for load-in to the stage and may be reserved for temporary storage of scenery, sets and furniture. Please check on space availability in advance. E. Stage Dimensions F.
