As one of the earliest adopters of HDBaseT in the industry Wyrestorm has a great deal of experience with the technology and already has a range of HDBT products from extender sets, through to matrix models in variations of 8x8, 8x16 and 16x16. These are premium models designed for higher end installations, and through feedback from the industry we noticed the need to address the mid-area of the market place namely, 4x4 to 8x8 matrices, that perhaps did not necessitate such a high spec or indeed, a premium price tag. The result is what we call HDBaseT Lite a hybrid technology that sits comfortably between our flagship range of HDBaseT products and our popular PRO range of matrices. HDBaseT Lite shares many of the same strengths as its bigger brother in terms of distribution method, signal stability and resistance to interference, but removes the Ethernet distribution and reduces signalling rate and resolution, while still allowing full HD distribution over single cable runs with discrete IR control up to 70m. We feel the combination of single cable distribution, select, advanced features within a more affordable package than full HDBaseT, all offer the industry something not currently available in the market, despite the obvious desire for it. June sees us launch three matrix models: 4x4 (MX0404-PP), 6x6 (MX0606-PP), and 8x8 (MX0808-PP), as well as a 70m extender set (EX-1UTP-IR-70) or stand-alone display receiver (RX-1UTP-IR 70). Key technical specs are as follows: The same robust transmission technology as full HDBT that is far more resistant to electrostatic interference than conventional non-hdbt distribution. HDMI v1.4 with full 3D compatibility with frame sequential (Blu-Ray) and interlaced Stereoscopic (satellite/cable. Simultaneous HDMI Outputs on all matrices for added flexibility of outputs essentially doubling the number of outputs (though slaved to the output channel on the matrix), or allowing connection to Coax, Fibre or full HDBT extender sets for increased flexibility and length of distribution. No Ethernet pass-through for broadband internet. Central RS232 control with integration protocols available for all market leading control systems such as such as AMX, Control 4, Crestron, Red Eye, Nevo, RTI, Control FX, Savant, Bit Wise LAN control with Control 4 LAN protocols. Two-way discrete IR control between source and display and vice versa. 2K resolution (compared to 4k resolution with full HDBaseT) 36bit Deep Colour (compared to 48bit with Full HDBaseT) 6.75 Gbps bandwidth capacity/signalling rate (compared to 10.2Gbps with full HDBaseT) 70m distance range of matrix/extenders can be lengthened by a factor of 4 by connecting to multiple 70m extender sets or used with any other extenders such as Coax, Fibre or HDBT extenders. 70m display receivers can use Wyrestorm USB to 5V power cable (CAB-USB-5V) to draw power directly from the USB point of the TV, thus not only saving space behind the display and making for an easier install, but also being notably more power efficient as the units are only powered when the TV is on) this option is not currently available with full HDBaseT units.
