BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL NOTE Jo Ann Carrigan (b. 1933) was a professor of history at Louisiana State University. SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE Muster rolls (1862-1864), photographs, and publications pertaining largely to the state of New York's participation in the Civil War. Also included are postcards depicting Civil War scenes; photographic copies of maps of New Orleans during the War of 1812; an autograph book containing the names, ranks, and addresses of soldiers in the 10th New York Artillery; and a typescript copy of John Duffy's "Sword of pestilence..."
