Springtime Tallahassee s 50 th Anniversary Festival Entertainment Application April 7, 2018~ 9:00 am 5:00 pm Application Deadline: November 16, 2017 Entertainment Application Join us for the 50 th Anniversary of the Springtime Tallahassee Festival. With more than 150,000 attendees and featuring the finest arts and crafts vendors, gourmet foods, and parade floats from around the Southeast, this is one event you do not want to miss! Entertainment Information The Jubilee will be held April 7, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the streets and in the parks of beautiful downtown Tallahassee, Florida. Performing art acts will perform from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The deadline to submit an application for consideration is Thursday, November 16, 2017. Any applications received after November 16, 2017 will not be considered. Springtime Tallahassee will provide stage and sound to entertainers. It is important to inform our sound technicians of the number of people in your ensemble, number of microphones, and any other equipment you might need during your performance. Please pay special attention to this section of the entertainment application. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate TAP SHOES per stage rules. Springtime Tallahassee will provide vocal mics, instrument mics, mic stands, speaker stands, floor monitors, CD player & stereo systems, amplifiers, and cables. If you need anything specific not listed above please contact the Springtime Tallahassee office at (850) 224-5012. Acceptance Procedures Entertainers will be selected by quality and originality. Springtime Tallahassee strives to maintain a family atmosphere at our Jubilee we appreciate and believe in artistic expression but prohibit any profanities or obscenities by entertainment groups. Acceptance is not guaranteed based on past participation/performance in the Springtime Tallahassee Festival. All applications MUST include a DVD, CD or electronic press kit web link to be considered for acceptance. Springtime does not keep previous years submissions. Springtime Tallahassee will make every effort to accommodate your preferred time slot. Performance times, stage locations, maps and permits will be mailed to the entertainer at the beginning of March. Rules 1. Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will be selected to perform. Springtime Tallahassee reserves the right to accept or reject any application. Misrepresented or inappropriate entertainers will be removed. 2. All entertainers must return a signed general release and ASCAP agreement, with a completed application to be considered. 3. Dance groups must put all performing songs on one CD. And must pre-test CD on CD player, not computer prior to festival. 4. Parking permits will only be allotted to entertainment groups that will be unloading equipment. 5. Performances will not be compensated. This is an opportunity that offers exposure for groups to be seen and heard.

GENERAL RELEASE OF CLAIMS & HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT SPRINGTIME TALLAHASSEE, INC. does NOT provide liability insurance for the protection of persons, vendors, entertainers, merchants, organizations, spectators or others who participate in any Springtime Tallahassee, Inc. event. In consideration of participating in a Springtime Tallahassee event, I,, an authorized representative of, do hereby release and forever discharge SPRINGTIME TALLAHASSEE, INC., its members, officers, employees, agents, servants, volunteers and sponsors from any and all actions, negligence, causes of actions, claims and demands, for any damage, loss or injury, which hereafter may be sustained by me or my organization in connection with or relating to any SPRINGTIME TALLAHASSEE, INC. event. This release extends to, applies to, covers and includes all known, unknown, disclosed, unforeseen, unanticipated and unsuspected injuries, damages, losses and liabilities, and the consequences thereof, notwithstanding the provisions of any state, federal, local or territorial law or statute to the contrary. Such provisions are hereby expressly waived. It is further understood and agreed that my/my organization s participation in any Springtime Tallahassee, Inc. event is not to be construed as an admission of liability or the assumption of any responsibility by SPRINGTIME TALLAHASSEE, INC., its members, officers, employees, agents, servants, volunteers and/or sponsors for any act or omission by me or any member(s) of my organization. ENTERTAINEMNT AGREEMENT City of Tallahassee License Agreement American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) This letter is to advise you of certain limitations and requirements regarding the performance of music for Springtime Tallahassee under the City of Tallahassee s license agreement with ASCAP for public performances of music written or published by ASCAP members. The license covers non-dramatic renditions of musical compositions (mechanical or live) limited to the ASCAP repertory (copyrighted by ASCAP members which ASCAP has the right to license for performance) on property owned or operated by the City at events and functions conducted, sponsored or presented by or under the auspices of the City. The City contracts with Springtime Tallahassee, which in turn contracts with you, for Jubilee in the Park Entertainment. Under this arrangement, the City s license covers performances of music by ASCAP members as summarized above. To determine if particular music is covered under this license, you may access the ASCAP database at www.ascap.org. Performance of musical works written or published by non-ascap members is not permitted unless the performer has obtained and provided proof of legal authorization to do so. If you will be performing such music, please sign and return the enclosed copy of this letter in acknowledgment of this limitation and requirement. Acknowledgement: By signature, the undersigned hereby acknowledges the requirements and limitations on performance of music as outlined above. If the undersigned performs musical works written or published by non-ascap members, proof of legal authorization for performance of that music must be attached to this letter of acknowledgment.
