Performng the nstallaton or mantenance on your own may vod the warranty. Please note that the usage of cellular data may cause addtonal charge. Cauton HOT! Insde the operatng devce there are elements that may cause burns. The devce may be demounted at least 30 mnutes after dsconnectng the power supply. We recommend to stll watch for elements marked as Cauton hot.

Descrpton and features Descrpton FIBARO Intercom can show you everyone who has arrved at your doorstep wth a 180-degree hgh-defnton vew and nght vson. Ths modern-lookng, hgh-gloss devce can be placed near the front door or gate to look after your safety. The Intercom allows to control two gates, whch mght be opened usng assgned PIN codes on rotatng rng, holdng up a phone towards the devce or usng dedcated app to do t remotely. The recordngs can be stored on a SD card. Man features Rotatng rng used for PIN codes, Two relay outputs (to control gates), Full HD vdeo resoluton (1080p/30fps), Ultra-wde angle lens (180 o ), IR llumnaton (for nght vew), Nose-cancelng mcrophones, Speaker, Proxmty sensor. Choosng locaton Recommended heght of nstallaton: 160 cm Do not nstall the devce n drect sunlght! If ths happens, try to shade the devce to avod overheatng and to keep the sun off the lens and reduce flare. Long-term operatng n drect sunlght may cause overheatng of the devce, ts malfunctonng, and a sgnfcant temperature rse of a housng above the lmt of safe operaton for the user. Do not mount the devce n places exposed to ran or water drop, or prone to floodng. Surface around the nstallaton box should be perfectly smooth to ensure algnng the devce wth the wall. INSTALLATION - CHOOSING LOCATION 7

Choosng and routng wres The devce may be powered n two ways: 1) Power supply 12V DC (+/- 10%) 1A LPS (not ncluded) 2) PoE (Power over Ethernet) PSE 48V Both powerng modes work n parallel and may be connected at the same tme wth no effect on the devce operaton. The devce may be connected to network n two dfferent ways: 1) Ethernet - wred connecton (recommended) 2) W-F - wreless connecton Wred connecton s recommended, but f you decded to use W-F connecton make sure that the devce wll be n range of your router and have a good qualty connecton. Before routng the wres make sure what you want to connect and how many wres you wll need: 1) Power supply 12V DC - used to power the devce wth external power supply. Wres requred: 2 2) Ethernet - used for communcaton wth the devce and can be also used to power t usng PoE Power over Ethernet. Wres requred: 1 twsted par cable wth 8 wres 3) Bult-n relays - can be used to open 2 gates or doors wth an electrc lock (va app, BLE proxmty functon, PIN code or physcal buttons). Wres requred: 2 wres per one gate/door 4) Two buttons for bult-n relays - can be used to control bult-n relay usng physcal buttons, swtches etc. Wres requred: 1 wre per one button and 1 wre for common ground 5) Tamper - can be connected to an external system to alarm t n case of sabotage attempt. Wres requred: 2 8 INSTALLATION - CHOOSING AND ROUTING WIRES

When routng wres take nto consderaton: The nstallaton wres of the unt must be lead separately from the mans power wres to prevent the transmsson nterference and overvoltage on the control lnes. Wres nsde the nstallaton boxes should be as short as possble to prevent curlng the wres and allow for easy assemblng of the n-wall part. Installaton wres should be carred securely and not vsble from the outsde, preventng from the nterference by unauthorzed person. Recommended Ethernet cable for network connecton s a twsted par cable CAT-5e. The maxmum cable length s 100 meters. Other nputs should be connected usng the sold-core wres wth cross-secton from 0.14 to 0.34 mm 2 (26 22 AWG). Connectors are also capable of connectng stranded wres. Close vcnty of mans (110V/230V) electrcal wres may cause deteroraton of the transmsson through the Internet and potental nose on the nputs. INSTALLATION - CHOOSING AND ROUTING WIRES 9

Mountng the nstallaton box Before nstallaton pay attenton to: Installaton box must be mounted usng the materals whch wll not cause the tenson that could deform the shape of a box after the nstallaton (e.g. by expandng). Mountng n the drywall requres usng screws wth hooks (not ncluded). Mountng n the nsulaton-flled wall (e.g. drywall wth mneral wool) requres to keep at least 10cm dstance from the nsulaton to prevent the devce from overheatng. To nstall the box: 1) Prepare hole for 65mm x 75mm (dameter x depth) nstallaton box. 2) Route cables to the back of the hole (see Choosng and routng wres on page 8). 3) Drag the cables through the rubber sealng on the back of the box, takng care to keep the tghtness. 4) Mount the box n the hole and algn t so the TOP arrow ponts up. 5) Make sure the box s flush wth the wall and frmly attached. It s recommended to use the plasterboard adhesve (type T) to securely nstall the box. 10 INSTALLATION - MOUNTING THE INSTALLATION BOX

Mountng the n-wall part To nstall the n-wall part: 1) Use a screwdrver to unscrew the small screw that secures the maskng cap labelled wth FIBARO logo. 2) Drag the wres through the hole located on the rght of the nwall part. 3) Place the n-wall part of the devce nsde the nstallaton box. 4) Usng three attached screws fasten the part wth the box, make sure t s algns properly and adjons the wall. INSTALLATION - MOUNTING THE IN-WALL PART 11

Connectng wres To connect the wres: 1) Make sure that no wres are powered. 2) Remove the outer nsulaton to expose about 5 cm of the nsulated nner wres, takng care not to damage them. 5 3) Separate and straghten the nner wres f twsted. 4) Cut the nner wres to 4 cm n length. 4cm 5) Remove the nsulaton from the nner wres to leave about 5 mm of exposed metal core on each wre. 4cm 5mm 6) Put the wres nsde the termnals usng long-nose plers or tweezers accordng to dagrams below. 7) Make sure all wres are frmly attached. Should you need to remove a wre from the connector we recommend to use a dedcated tool - WAGO 2059-189 (not ncluded, shown below) to mnmze the rsk of connectors damage. 12 INSTALLATION - CONNECTING WIRES

Connectng ethernet/poe cable: ETH1-ETH8 nputs are related to specfed numbers of wres n RJ-45 connector accordng to the T-568B standard as shown below. Connectng 12V DC power supply: Inputs for connectng an external 12V DC power supply. Please double-check correct polarty of power supply. 12V GND o O g B b G br BR! CAUTION Before connectng the power supply, or attachng the wres to devce termnals, make sure that the power supply and nstallaton comples wth the lmts of current and voltage. Use only Class II or double nsulated power supples and perpheral devces whch provde operatng n SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) crcuts. INSTALLATION - CONNECTING WIRES 13

Connectng relays: Confgurable relay outputs 30V/1A. Outputs are not desgned for long-term supplyng of external devces. Contacts are not connected to the ground and can be connected wth any polarty. R1 R1 R2 R2 Connectng tamper swtch to external system: Ant-sabotage nput, used for connectng to the external alarm system. Normally opened contacts close after nstallng the external, on-wall part of the devce. Contacts are not connected to the ground and can be connected wth any polarty. Parameters: max. 12VDC/50mA. TMP TMP Connectng buttons for relays: Confgurable dry contact logc nputs desgned to be operated by reed sensors, swtches, and relay outputs. Mountng the on-wall part To mount the on-wall part: 1) Install the maskng cap and tghten t wth a screw. 2) At ths moment you can nstall a SD card (see SD Card on page 16 for more nformaton). 3) Insert the on-wall part (metal flat plate should be on the left) and algn t wthout usng excessve force. 4) Whle holdng the on-wall part, turn the nner black rng counter-clockwse usng the ncluded tghtenng tool untl you feel resstance. 5) Usng the ncluded hex key, tghten the small hex screw untl t flushes wth the black rng (look at the pcture on the rght). Be careful not to cause ts deformaton. 6) The devce s ready to work. You can turn on the mans power and move to devce confguraton gude. INSTALLATION - MOUNTING THE ON-WALL PART 15

SD Card The devce allows for nstallng the mcrosd Card for local storage of recordngs. FIBARO Intercom supports up to 128 GB mcrosdhc and mcrosdxc cards, Class 10 s recommended. Confguraton Requrements After proper nstallaton of the FIBARO Intercom to run the devce you need a: OS moble devce connected to the W-F, FIBARO Intercom App, FIBARO ID account (whch you can set up durng the confguraton process). Make sure that durng the confguraton of FIBARO Intercom your smartphone s connected to the same network as your devce. Durng the setup stand close to the devce. Your network should be connected to the Internet at least for the confguraton tme. Download FIBARO Intercom app from the App Store https://www.fbaro.com/ntercom/os CONFIGURATION - REQUIREMENTS 17

Frst logn Havng a vald FIBARO ID account s necessary to use your devce. Such account may be created through the same app that s desgned to operate the Intercom. Look below and follow one of the procedures. Wthout exstng FIBARO ID account: 1) Launch a downloaded FIBARO Intercom app. 2) Type n your e-mal address. 3) Set a password to be used for your FIBARO ID account. 4) Read the Terms of Servce and Prvacy Polcy. 5) Verfy your e-mal address by clckng a lnk provded n the message. 6) After creatng an account, move to Creatng home. Wth exstng FIBARO ID account: 1) Launch a downloaded FIBARO Intercom app. 2) Log n to your FIBARO ID account. 3) After successful logn, you go drectly to Creatng home. 18 CONFIGURATION - FIRST LOGIN

Creatng home In ths step, t s possble to create a new home or logn to exstng one. Confguraton takes place through BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) protocol. Make sure that Bluetooth s enabled on your smartphone. Create new home: 1) Create a home and name t. 2) Tap Next to move to Confguraton of the frst devce n Home secton. If you log n to exstng home, just select t from the lst and proceed to the next step. Confguraton of the frst devce 1) Stand close to the devce. 2) Make sure that your smartphone s connected through W-F to the same network and Bluetooth connecton s enabled. 3) After openng the app, you wll see the lst of devces watng for confguraton. You can see the strength of BLE sgnal. If the sgnal s too weak, try to come closer to the devce. 4) Choose the rght devce and name t f you want. Then, the next step s Connectng to the network. CONFIGURATION - CREATING HOME & CONFIGURATION OF THE FIRST DEVICE 19

Connectng to the network After selectng your Intercom from the lst, you can establsh a network connecton. You can do ths n three ways: va W-F or LAN (automatcally or manually). W-F connecton Make sure that the range of W-F sgnal s good enough. If the Intercom s located far from W-F router, t s strongly recommended to use W-F sgnal expanders nearby the Intercom. 1) Select Connectng va W-F. 2) Choose your W-F network from the lst. 3) You can choose the network from the lst or set t up manually. The lst shows W-F networks n Intercom range. It s not a lst of networks found by your phone. 4) Provde a password to the network. 5) It s also possble to set up W-F connecton manually. Provde credentals of your network. Automatc LAN connecton After successful connecton Wzard takes you straght to User Confguraton. Manual LAN connecton Provde necessary credentals: IP Address, Subnet mask, Gateway, and DNS. After that go to User Confguraton. After successful confguraton of the devce (resultng n streamng the lve vew from the Intercom) t s strongly recommended to assgn a fxed IP address of the devce n your router. It makes the devce ntegraton easer. If the connecton wth the devce s not successful, t may be necessary to reset your devce to factory settngs. Reset procedure s descrbed n Resettng to factory settngs on page 24. 20 CONFIGURATION - CONNECTING TO THE NETWORK

User confguraton User confguraton s necessary every tme the frst devce s confgured at home. User confgured n ths step becomes admnstrator of the system. To confgure a new user: 1) Type n your name n provded form and tap Next. 2) Set your photo. You can choose t from the lbrary or use camera. 3) Set up your PIN Code to be used for openng the gate. 4) Set your password for local access. Local password s oblgatory when you use devce n network wthout Internet access, stream camera mage and you want to ntegrate t wth FIBARO Home Center. Confguraton summary The followng nformaton wll be dsplayed as a summary of the confguraton process: Intercom name - gven name of a devce User name - name of the man user PIN Code - protecton code set durng confguraton Local password - user password for local access Network - connecton mode and name of network Verfy user nformaton and tap Fnsh. CONFIGURATION - USER CONFIGURATION 21

Addng more devces In case of nstallaton of several devces n your house, t s possble to add another devce to your home. To add another devce: 1) Go to Settngs. 2) Fnd Devces secton. 3) Tap Add Devce button. The confguraton of followng devces should process same as settng up of the frst devce. One step wll be omtted - Confguraton of the user. All devces assgned to one Home should operate n the same network and must be connected n the same way (W-F or LAN). User roles There are three user roles avalable n FIBARO Intercom nterface: 1) Admnstrator - can confgure home, add and change settngs of devces and add or nvte users. Invtng users To nvte new user: 1) Go to Settngs. 2) Fnd Users secton. 3) Tap Invte User button. 4) Fll the FIBARO ID user s e-mal address n the form. 5) After sendng an nvtaton, new user wll be vsble on the lst. You can only nvte actve FIBARO ID users. On nvted user s behalf: 1) Install FIBARO Intercom App and log n to the FIBARO ID account (the same that the nvtaton was sent to). 2) After loggng n you can see a Home lst and the one that user s nvted to wll be marked. 3) After choosng a home, the next step s User Confguraton. Invted user s permssons s system user by default. To become an admnstrator, the permssons must be granted by admnstrator hmself. CONFIGURATION - INVITING USERS 23

Resettng to factory settngs There are two ways of performng the reset of the devce: through the moble app or drectly usng the devce. After completon, the Intercom wll be restored to factory settngs. Please notce that all stored recordngs wll also be removed! To reset the devce through moble app: 1) Open the app. 2) Go to Settngs. 3) Select your devce. 4) Fnd Status and tap t. 5) Tap Reset to factory button. To reset the devce drectly: 1) Press and hold the rng and the button at the same tme for about 10 seconds. 2) Release both when the devce glows n red. 3) Enter the seral number usng the rotatng rng. Confrm each number wth a short press of the rng. 4) Enterng correct seral number wll be confrmed by glowng n green and restartng. 24 CONFIGURATION - RESETTING TO FACTORY SETTINGS

Devce operaton FIBARO Intercom allows to use rotatng rng for enterng PIN Codes set durng the confguraton process. Correctly entered PIN code may result n authentcatng the user and openng the gate. Anyone who does not have a PIN code may use the button on the front to make a call. To open the gate usng the rng: 1) Move your hand close to the devce - the button wll lght up n blue. 2) Rotate the rng to select the frst dgt of your PIN code - numbers wll lght up one by one. 3) Push the rng to confrm selected dgt. 4) Correct enterng of the dgt wll be confrmed by turnng off the backlght. 5) Enter next dgts of your PIN code n the same way. If you entered ncorrect dgt, pull the rng to cancel the entre sequence and start agan from the 1st dgt. 6) After selectng the last, 4th dgt, make a sngle push to open the gate connected to the frst relay (R1). Make a double push to open the gate connected to the second relay (R2). 7) The PIN code wll be verfed. In case of successful verfcaton, all dodes wll blnk green fve tmes and the gate wll be opened. 8) Enterng ncorrect PIN code wll be ndcated by two blnks n red. The default tme for whch the gate stays opened s 3 seconds. Its length may be adjusted by the admn through the moble app. The gate may be opened by usng the Bluetooth low energy proxmty sensor. In order to do so, move your pared smartphone wth enabled Bluetooth connecton close to the devce. To make a call: 1) Move your hand close to the devce - the button wll lght up n blue. 2) Press the button. 3) LED dodes wll start flashng - wat for a call. 4) If no one responds to your call, you wll be able to leave your message n the voce mal. The Manufacturer shall be responsble for malfunctonng of the Devce resultng from physcal defects nherent n the Devce that cause ts operaton to be ncompatble wth the specfcatons wthn the perod of: - 24 months from the date of purchase by the consumer, - 12 months from the date of purchase by a busness customer (the consumer and busness customer are further collectvely referred to as Customer ). 3. After the complant has been properly fled, the Customer wll receve contact detals for the Authorzed Guarantee Servce ( AGS ). The customer should contact and delver the Devce to AGS. Upon recept of the Devce, the manufacturer shall nform the Customer of the return merchandse authorzaton number (RMA). 9. Defects shall be removed wthn 30 days from the date of delverng the Devce to AGS. The guarantee perod shall be extended by the tme n whch the Devce was kept by AGS. 10. The faulty devce shall be provded by the Customer wth complete standard equpment and documents provng ts purchase. 11. The cost of transportng the Devce n the terrtory of the Republc of Poland shall be covered by the Manufacturer. The costs of the Devce transport from other countres shall be covered by the Customer. For unjustfed complants, AGS may charge the Customer wth costs related to the case. 12. AGS shall not accept a complant clam when: - the Devce was msused or the manual was not observed, - the Devce was provded by the Customer ncomplete, wthout accessores or nameplate, - t was determned that the fault was caused by other reasons than a materal or manufacturng defect of the Devce - the guarantee document s not vald or there s no proof of purchase, 13. The guarantee shall not cover natural wear and tear of the Devce and ts components lsted n the operatng manual and n techncal documentaton as such elements have a defned operatonal lfe. 15. The Devce Guarantee shall not exclude, lmt or suspend the Customer s warranty rghts. 16. The Manufacturer shall not be lable for damages to property caused by defectve devce.
