1. Brief Introduction GPJ09-9401 type of Fiber Optic Splice Closure is a member in dome series, the main function is to provice direct pass, branch and splice protection for various types of fiber cable during optical transmission. Protection rate is IP68. This type has two round cable ports and one oval cable port for uncut fiber cable. The material of seal component is vulcanized rubber, the cables and the closure are sealed in a mechanical way with the help of compacting pressure from the plastic screws. This model is excellent in sealing performance, easy for installation, wide applications. 2. 4. Installation 4.1 Cable Installation 4.1.1 Mark the cutting point on the cable, the length of stripping being less about 120cm. Be sure not to damage fibers. Note 2. Do not use any damaged cable. Note 3. While remove the cable sheath, please do not cut, twist or damage loose tubes. Reserve enough length to ensure repair and maintenance in case of any accident. 4.2 Installation of fiber closure 4.2.1 Check the closure and all the accessories 4.2.2 Open the closure Circumgyrate cover with small angle to the position as right picture, take cover upwards
4.2.3 Direct cable access fiber closure 1 Take out diplopore compressed blocks, cable seal gasket, plug and diplopore seal block in oval port for direct cable, then lead the stripped cable to the port. 2 Screw the cable fixing hoop in bracket, loosen armored layer squash and stell core fixing squash. 3 Fix the cable by cable metal hoop, armored laryer and steel core are fixed by squashes. See following pictures. 4 Install diplopore seal block, diplopore seal gasket, diplopore compressed block and compressed block connective slice as the following method. 5 Cable port sealing Push diplopore seal block, seal gasket and compressed block (with stainless steel connective slice) into cable port one by one, then screw the bolt tightly to obtain good sealing effect. Special point: The material of seal component is soft rubber, diplopore compressed block is plastic, when tighten the bolt, the force should be suitable (twisting force 5N M), there is no distortion at the bolt fixing point of diplopore compressed block. 4.2.4 Branch cable access the cable port 1 Screw the nut by spanner firstly, then take out seal component and cable fixing hoop, loosen armored layer squash and steel core fixing squash.
2 Insert the stripped cable into compressed nut M31, plastic gasket (pay attention to direction) and cable sealing gasket (To choose sealing gasket according to cable diameter and cable type.) In the following chart, 14#,41# sealing gaskets are standard accessories, quantity is 2 pieces for each. Others are optional ones depend on users. 3 Lead cable to round port 4 Fix the cable by metal hoop, fix the armored layer and steel core by squash seperately. 5 Cable port sealing Press the cable seal gasket (with liner if necessary) plastic gasket into cable port in order, tighten hexagonal
compressed M31 nut by spanner to achieve good sealing effect. 6 Lead the branch cable into splice tray Measure the distance from cable fixing point to the entrance of splice tray, strip fiber protective tube of cable, then fix it by nylon tie at the entrance of splice tray. 4.3 Fusion fibers as general operation, make a record, in order to facilitate future maintenance and repair. 4.4 FOSC Sealing After finish cable installation, put the sealing ring in the closure, close the cover as the angle in the following picture, right circumgyrate the cover to superposition, make the closure press tightly. Lock by nylon tie or padlock. 4.5 FOSC Laying: Wall-mounted installtion 1. Drill two M4 expansion holes in the wall, the distance is 45mm,knock M4 nuts into the holes. 2. Fix the closure tightly to the wall by bolts. 3. If the steel core and armored layer need grounding, it can be grounding safely by copper insert in closure. 8.
