It is REQUIRED that your representatives attend the orientation as we will be reviewing all aspects of the remote, as well as handing out credentials, artist bio books, artist schedules and other helpful items. Cocktails and appetizers will be served immediately following. As in year s past, there will be a press conference-style interview session. Please make sure to bring a recording device and the appropriate cables/connectors for a multi-box plug in.

ARTIST INTERVIEW POLICY & PROCEDURES The ultimate goal is to ensure that everyone participating gets equal time with all the artists who will be stopping by for interviews. In order to make sure this happens, we have developed this proven procedure, which requires cooperation from all of the participating groups: ARTIST BOOKINGS WILL TAKE PLACE 9AM-3PM CT ON MONDAY & TUESDAY ONLY 5 MINUTES PER ARTIST PER STUDIO - MAXIMUM! INCLUDING PHOTOGRAPHS AND SIGNING Do not forget to bring a recording device to record artist interviews in case you are on a break when an artist becomes available. Each day you will be provided with a list of the artists scheduled to appear the following day. Artist lists will NOT be released before this time under any circumstances. Please review the list and be prepared to see all artists. Our talent staff will then compile Talent Routing Sheets for each artist scheduled to appear that day. An escort will bring the artist to your area, with a specific time allotment allowed. It is important that you stay within the five minute time frame in order to keep the flow running smoothly. NOTE: 5 minutes is the average time an artist has to spend with each studio in order to provide an efficient experience. Please keep in mind that occasionally this time may vary slightly depending on how much time the artist has available. Please be flexible if asked to spend a little less time with an artist on a tight schedule. TELEVISION / VIDEO POLICY Local market television crews are permitted to take B-roll of your group at the remote. However, they must be approved and credentialed by CMA. If you are bringing a camera crew, please let Ellen Appleton (615-347-3416) know by October 27 th so that she can review the policies and procedures with you and those attending the remote. Under no circumstances are your crews permitted to talk with the artists at the remote broadcast. They are permitted to take B-roll footage of your group only and must stay within your designated studio area.
