Interactive programs for motivation to read in public libraries in Croatia National Coordination Service for Public Libraries at National and University Library in Zagreb has collected data on the implemented interactive programs for motivation to read which promote culture of reading and motivate reading habits among citisens of all ages (2013.: 2016.) contribute to development and achieving reading competences, critical thought and researching current topics and everyday issues in society the programs aim various age groups, social levels, user groups, literature genres as well as professional and scientific fields selected are larger interactive programs for motivation to read on national level which are being held at the public libraries interactive projects are being carried out: - independently (project The Library Wide Open Doors, project 65 plus) - joined projects of several public libraries (Seekers - Children's Reading Blog) - part of a specific event (Croatian Book Month, Book Night,

Instead of Conclusion new model of library services, librarians develope relations in the local community and becoming integrated part of community (cooperation with library users, medical staff, social workers, speech and language pathologists, volunteers) interactive library programs give added value to the local community library users and librarians beeing part of the team and have partners relationship new trends are developing in librarianship (traditional vs embeded librarianship) new concept of embedded librarianship, active librarianship, engaged librarianship, collaborative librarianship
