Rubinlicht, 7Red.band) When the file pens select FILE>SAVE AS; Change the lcatin t DESKTOP and SAVE Yur file shuld lk smething like this Step 2: Inserting lps int yur prject (A Sectin Lps) Open the lp brwser Turn n the cycle buttn by pressing (this keeps yur meldy n repeat) A yellw bar shuld appear abve yur tracks if yu ve dne this crrectly. Mve the yellw bar ver the A sectin Press Play and chse a lp frm the brwser that matches yur meldy. D nt insert anything int yur prject until yu re sure it matches. ***(Yu d nt have t use the lps yu fund in PART I, yu can if yu want)*** Find the lp yu wish t insert Click and drag that lp under the A sectin area. This will set up a new track. Find additinal lps that match yur A sectin. Yu may have up t 4 lps fr each sectin. Step 4: Creating Intr, Outr and Transitins using varius lps. Turn yur Cycle buttn ff. Open yur Lp Brwser and chse frm the lps yu have written dwn, that will wrk fr yur intr/transitin/utr sectin. Yu may use any lp, including timed lps. I suggest pairing any time lp with a shaker, it sunds nice. Step 5: Change the instruments fr Track 1 and Track 2 Highlight track 1. Chse the icn frm the bttm right. Change the instrument frm Keybard t yur desired instrument Repeat prcess fr Track 2 Step 6: Adjusting track vlume and Inserting a Master Vlume Track and fade ut Make sure each track is balanced. We shuld always hear yur meldy lud and clear. Adjust vlumes n individual tracks by using Vlume Cntrls. Frm the Garageband Menu, select TRACK>SHOW MASTER TRACK This ptin allws yu t adjust the vlume f yur whle piece. Yu will see a purple line n the bttm f yur screen Click n the line t plt pints where yu want the fade ut t start, yu will see a marker placed n the line. Click anther pint n the timeline, where yu want the fade ut t stp, and then drag it dwn. If yu ve dne that crrectly, it shuld lk like this: Step 7: ALL THE EXTRAS Adding Vcals, End Temp Fade-Out T create a Temp Fade Out

T create a Temp Fade Out In the lwer left hand crner, find where it says Master Vlume Click the dwn arrw until yu see Master Temp and select that. Plt pints n the purple line t create a temp fade ut (end). If yu ve dne this crrectly, it shuld lk smething like this: T add vcals: (Track>New Track>Real Instrument) T recrd vcals: Make sure the vcal track is highlighted, and yur headphnes are n, then click the red recrd buttn and sing/speak. T change vcals effects: duble click n the vice track and change the vice. Step 8: DOUBLE CHECKING AND Saving Yur Wrk Use the RUBRIC/CHECKLIST belw t make sure yu have everything dne File>Save Exit ut f Garageband Give Ms. Rubinlicht yur cmputer s she can transfer yur prject.
