Meaning-(v) (of a person or small animal) move hurriedly with short quick steps. Synonyms- hurry, hasten, race Examples-Pedestrians scurried for cover as soon as it started to rain. 3

Everything was new to the cubs so, even the fluttering of a butterfly would send them scurrying to their mother. 16.anticipation- Meaning-(n) Expectation, apprehension, premonition Synonyms- forecast, prediction Examples- Troops have been put on alert in anticipation of more trouble. 17. triumph- The hungry cubs looked forward to their mother s return with anticipation. Meaning-(n) achieve a victory; be successful. Synonyms- win, succeed Examples-They had no chance of triumphing over the Nationalists. Aditya was triumphant when the uniform was a perfect fit. 18.encounter- Meaning- (n) a meeting, especially one that is unplanned, unexpected or brief. Synonym- meeting, rendezvous Example- Encounters with strange vehicles soon became a routine with the cubs. 19.Despise Meaning (v) to regard with contempt or scorn Synonyms- detest, hate Example- Chand was afraid of all forms of wildlife, in fact he despised animals. 20. devour Meaning-(v) to eat up greedily Synonyms- consume Examples-He devoured half of his burger in one bite. The cubs were so frightened when their mother was away that even small animals like the mongoose could kill and devour them. 4
