GRADING Performances are required and contribute to the grade. Performance absence will be excused only in cases of family emergency or urgent unforeseen events. This does not include conflicts due to personal scheduling negligence (after-school employment, babysitting, family vacations, transportation, etc.). It is the position of the music staff that performances take precedence over extra-curricular activities. Stated very simply, school comes first. When conflicts arise between music events and other ROHS events, the teachers, staff, and coaches involved will work to resolve the issue.
