American Council on Eercise Logo Usage Guidelines January 2013

Overview For ACE-approved Continuing Education Providers The ACE-approved logo is used to distinguish courses and programs that meet the American Council on Eercise s standards for quality education and service for its certified professionals. Provided to organizations outside of ACE, the ACE-approved logo and corresponding guidelines are applicable to all advertising/promotional mediums (i.e., print, audio, video, electronic and the Internet). If your course or program has been approved by ACE for continuing education, to use the ACE name or ACE- approved logo, you must first submit a rough draft of your promotional piece to the ACE Professional Education for approval. If you are utilizing the ACE name or ACE-approved logo on your personal or business website, print all pages with references to ACE, and submit along with URL address for approval. Questions? If you have any questions concerning these guidelines or the use of the American Council on Eercise name or ACE-approved logo marks, call ACE Professional Education at 1-800-825-3636 et. 758. 2

Usage Guidelines Follow these guidelines when using the ACE-approved logo. - Only the ACE-approved logo may be used by Continuing Education Providers. Continuing Education Providers are not permitted to use the ACE corporate logo. - State that [your organization] is recognized by the American Council on Eercise as a Continuing Education Provider. - Clearly denote the continuing education credits (CECs) offered (e.g., 0.2 ACE CECs ) - For conferences, include the following statement ACE CECs dependent on session selection. - Clearly state your refund policy. - Denote whether you require U.S. funds when promoting your courses internationally. - Do not promote products or services in direct competition with ACE. This includes, but is not limited to, certifications, manuals and non-ace approved courses. - Do not use the ACE name or ACE-approved logo in conjunction with resale items, products, clothing, certificates of completion or diplomas. - Ensure ACE-approved courses promoted on the Internet are clearly distinguished from those that are not ACE-approved. This can be accomplished by providing a special ACE-approved section of your website, or by noting ACE-approved status with the placement of the ACEapproved logo net to each course title. - When denoting CECs for organizations other than ACE, the company/program name/logo may appear in typed print only in the same size or smaller font than ACE. 3

Clear Space For maimum impact and recognition, the ACE-approved logo must be given adequate white space to ensure legibility. Adequate white space The illustration on the right gives a visual guide for providing the necessary white space. The clear space around the logo should equal the distance represented by X in the diagram below (which is 1/2 the height of the word ACE in the logo). 4

Color The preferred usage of the ACE-approved logo is full color and should be used whenever possible. All logo versions must be filled solid and may not employ a gradient, outline or pattern. Color versions The ACE colors are Pantone 541 (blue), Pantone 200 (red) and white. The CMYK, RGB and Web equivalents are listed at right. The logo colors may not be substituted. Grayscale version When replicating the logo in black and white use the preferred grayscale version. This provides depth and motion and is an overall better representation. Logo Color Grid Pantone PMS 541 PMS 200 CMYK 100/57/0/38 0/100/63/12 RGB 0/62/116 190/15/52 Web 003399 CC0033 Grayscale 100% 60% Acceptable Logo Colors 5

Sizing It is important that all elements of the ACE-approved logo be legible for both print and screen. Therefore, we have established a minimum size guideline that will ensure readability. Remember to included enough clear space around the logo as previously described. Print Do not display the logo any smaller than 1 inch in width. Actual size is displayed. Print minimum size Screen minimum size Screen Do not display the logo any smaller than 1 inch in width. Actual size is displayed. Maimum Size There is no maimum sizing for the logo. This will depend on the usage and format. 6
