She is responsible for the development and implementation of SCTE s certification and training programs that align with industry needs to advance the knowledge and skill levels of engineering and operations professionals. Pam s area of focus is field operations and back-tobasics topics. Pam holds a Master s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Colorado Christian University, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from Metropolitan State University, Denver, a B.A. in Fine Arts from William Paterson University of New Jersey, and an A.A.S. in Forestry from Paul Smith's College, New York. Pam s SCTE certifications include the Broadband Communications Technician (BCT)-Emeritus, Business Class Services Specialist (BCSS)-Emeritus, Broadband Distribution Specialist (BDS)-Emeritus, Broadband Transport Specialist (BTS)- Emeritus, Broadband TelecomCenter Specialist (BTCS)-Emeritus, and BTCS-Data-Emeritus. Topic: Optimizing Digital Carriers juan.castro@jdsu.com Juan Castro has been in the cable industry for over 28 years, initially employed with United Cable, followed by several other cable companies achieving advancement as an Installer, Manager, Trainer and. As an employee of TCI he helped launch HITS and with Charter Communications assisted with the implementation of Digital and Workforce Management. This experience has provided him with a strong technical background. He truly enjoys sharing his knowledge with others and has had the opportunity to provide presentations throughout North America and South America with topics to include Fiber Optics, Status Monitoring, MPEG, DOCSIS as well as Field Test Equipment. Juan Castro is currently employed with JDSU as a Technical Sales Support Engineer and has remained an active member of the SCTE Southern Chapter for the over 24 years. Topic: Ethernet Transport & VoIP Trunking edanel@veexinc.com Eve Danel is a Senior Product Manager at VeEX Inc. for carrier Ethernet and mobile backhaul solutions. Prior to joining VeEX in 2011, she was a Product Manager at Ditech Networks responsible for VoIP voice quality. From 2000 to 2005 she served as a Product Manager for Sunrise Telecom's Ethernet test and measurement products. Eve holds an MS degree from San Jose State University.

Page 6 of 10 Topic: RFoG CATV Applications jomori@aurora.com James Mori joined Aurora Networks in 2011 as part of the field services division for the Western US markets. As a field sales engineer and system designer he currently supports Aurora s optical transport design, application and deployment including specialize focus of the RFOG equipment with various MSO s, Utilities, and Municipalities. In prior roles James spent several years with Suddenlink Communications as a Regional Engineer including the commercial deployment of RFOG systems with the MSO and held technical positions with CCOR, Cox Communication and TCI. James is based in Reno, NV near Lake Tahoe and on the board of directors with the Sierra Chapter of the SCTE in Northern California. Topic: Wi-Fi Troubleshooting Thomas Kurata is the Sr. Product Planner for Fluke Networks AirMagnet spectrum analyzers products (Spectrum ES, Spectrum XT) as well as entry level WiFi products (AirCheck WiFi Tester, AirCheck for Windows, AirCheck for Android). He has extensive experience in cellular technology and test and measurement and currently based in Colorado Springs. Thomas has worked in the Test & Measurement field for 7 years with JDSU, EXFO and Fluke Networks. He was a product manager for cellular test solutions both active (at JDSU) and passive (at EXFO). Prior to test & measurement, Thomas worked for T-Mobile USA for 13 years in a variety of roles: business development, product development, engineering and operations. Thomas was the manager of Data Performance Management and was responsible for wireless data training at the T-Mobile technical call centers around the country. Before moving to Colorado, Thomas worked in Silicon Valley for Apple Computer, DSC communications, Alcaltel/ITT in the local area networking and data communications. Thomas is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Math-Computer Science. Topic: DOCSIS 3.1 ayham.al-banna@arrisi.com Ayham Al-Banna is a Distinguished Systems Engineer & Architect in the Chief Technology Office at ARRIS Group, where he works on defining the architecture for the US Cable Access Modules of the current and future ARRIS CCAP/CMTS systems and products. Dr. Al-Banna s research interests include RF Communications, HFC networks architecture & migration, DOCSIS 3.1, Traffic Management, etc. He has several issued & pending patents and authored a book about characterizing and mitigating wireless Interference in IEEE802.11 WLANs. Dr. Al-Banna is a senior IEEE member and has numerous publications in the area of Wireless and Cable Communications. He is a technical reviewer for the IEEE vehicular Technology Journal and several other IEEE conferences.

Prior to this position Mark held a position as a Manufacture s Rep in the NW where he represented product for Arcom. He also was employed with Trilithic for 6+ years where he began as an Applications Engineer then moved into Sales. Mark has been in the Cable Telecommunications industry for over 25+ years which involved industry accomplishments with Northland Communication, TCI and various other MSO s across the US. Throughout his career I ve Mark has held several positions in technical operations, applications, quality assurance and project management. A Mark holds multiple technical certifications through NCTI as well as the SCTE and listed as a SCTE Speaker and Proctor. Topic: PON / DPoE 101 jfigueroa@sumitomoelectric.com. Jorge Figueroa is currently a Principal Network Architect with Sumitomo Electric Lightwave. Jorge received a Bachelor s and Master s degree in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University in 1996 and 1997 respectively. From 1998 to 2011 he held positions in technical support and sales engineering at ARRIS. During his tenure at ARRIS he lived in the US, Asia, and Europe where he helped promote and deploy DOCSIS technologies with MSOs around the world. In the last 3 years his efforts have focused in making EPON a viable access technology for the North American MSO market, the last two with Sumitomo Electric, the leading provider of EPON in Japan. Jorge currently resides in Tampa, FL.

Six seats are available for a two year term from 2015 through 2016. s are representatives for the Society and the Chapter Board collectively. s are dedicated to the professional and technical development of its membership and the broadband telecommunications industry.
