DIGITAL TV SERVICE
DIGITAL VIDEO Introduction Welcome to Lake Connections Digital TV service. Once you re free from the usual constraints of ordinary television, you re going to love the new control over how and when you watch television. Menu From the menu, you can make changes to your guide s appearance, manage your DVR recordings, change the aspect ratio of the picture and many other features. The Apps menu allows you to access any of the apps that are available. Lake Connections offers Games, Weather and What s Hot applications. DVR This extraordinary television service offers a new and powerful freedom to record and watch your favorite programs on your schedule. You have the ability to record up to three (3) programs at once, while watching a fourth. Using the remote control, you can fast forward through what you d like to skip and rewind to watch what you d like to see again. A more detailed instruction manual for the DVR and features can be found on our website at: LakeConnections.com/Support Restart Feature With our restart feature, you have the freedom to control live TV. Each time you tune into a pre-set channel, the Set Top Box begins making a temporary recording of the program you are watching. We have 20 pre-set channels with this feature; please see the list on the following page for the included pre-set channels. This unique feature gives you the ability to pause the current program if the phone rings and the freedom to rewind or instantly replay a scene that you d like to see again. It s important to understand that a live TV recording is not permanent. Unlike recording a program on your DVR to watch later, the Set Top Box (DVR or non-dvr) records live TV in temporary storage, or a buffer. For live TV recordings, this temporary recording (buffer) will be erased if any of the following occur: The TV and/or Set Top Box is turned off You watch the same channel for longer than the temporary recording (buffer) period. The most recent hour of the program is kept in the temporary recording You switch to another program. When you change channels, your Set Top Box begins to store the new program, provided it is included within the 20 pre-set channels. The restart feature removes the previous program you were watching from the temporary storage when you switch to another program More details on the DVR can be found on our website: LakeConnections.com/Support
DIGITAL VIDEO Restart Feature As stated on the previous page, the restart feature allows for the viewer to go back to the beginning of a program, rewind and fast forward through that program. Once the channel has been changed, however, the restart feature will need to be started over. This is not a feature of the DVR and there is no permanent recording with this feature. Restart channels are indicated by the green and white icon in the guide, next to the channel number. 20 Pre-set Channels for Restart Feature CHANNEL NUMBER STATION NAME 107 FOX News Channel 110 ESPN 129 History 130 National Geographic Channel 131 The Discovery Channel 151 Disney Channel 154 TV Land 172 USA Network 174 Turner Network TV 175 Turner Broadcast System 176 FX 182 A&E Network 187 Hallmark 202 HGTV 204 Food Network 502 KDLH-DT (CBS) 506 KBJR-DT (NBC) 510 WDIO-DT 521 KQDS-DT (FOX) 531 FOX Sports North
