Urgency: Perform this Product Safety Bulletin at the EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY. Failure to comply with this Product Safety Bulletin could increase the potential for an accident. Death or serious injury can result from such accident. Read and fully understand the procedure before beginning. Read and fully understand this Product Safety Bulletin before verifying the TILT and TILT CORRECTION setting of the EZLIFT 230 on your scissor lift. Please see page 2 for EZLIFT 230 locations. Follow the instructions completely for your year and model scissor lift. If your TILT and TILT CORRECTION settings match the described for your scissor lift, no further action will be required. If you should have any question regarding the verification procedure of the TILT and TILT CORRECTION of the EZLIFT 230 or if your settings differ from the described, please contact your local Snorkel Service Department. S2646 and S3246 Scissor Lifts Manufactured From February 2011 to January 2012 and S2646E and S3246E Scissor Lifts Manufactured From January 2012 to current EZLIFT 230 LOCATIONS The purpose of this Safety Related Mandatory Machine Inspection is to verify the TILT and TILT CORRECTION setting of the EZLIFT 230 used on S2646 and S3246 scissor lifts manufactured from February 2011 to January 2012, and S2646E and S3246E scissors lifts manufactured from January 2012 to current. For scissor lifts manufactured from February 2011 to January 2012, it will be necessary to obtain a hand held EZcal, Snorkel P/N 504560-001 before performing the TILT and TILT CORRECTION verification. See Figure 1 below. Scissor lifts manufactured from January 2012 to current, are equipped with an onboard diagnostic LCD screen as viewed in Figure 2 below. Please follow the procedure on the following pages to verify the TILT and TILT CORRECTION settings of the EZLIFT 230 for S2646 and S3246 scissor lifts manufactured from February 2011 to January 2012, and S2646E and S3246E scissor lifts manufactured from January 2012 to current. S2646 and S3246 Scissor Lifts Manufactured From February 2011 to January 2012 TILT and TILT CORRECTION VERIFICATION Reference Figure 3 below. Place the scissor lift on a flat level floor. At platform, pull the Emergency Stop OUT. At lower control box, push Emergency Stop IN. Turn Platform/Ground Key Switch to GROUND position. Open hydraulic tray door. Plug hand held EZcal connector into the EZLIFT 230, P6 connector. Use the Left/Right arrows on hand held to scroll through each menu. 1. Pull Emergency Stop OUT at lower controls. 2. Press and Hold ESC button in for approximately 30 seconds until the HELP: PRESS ENTER appears on screen. 3. Press right arrow 4 times until ADJUSTMENTS screen appears, press ENTER. 4. Press right arrow 7 times until TILT screen appears, press Enter. 5. XTrip 2.0 should now be displayed on the screen, See page 4 Figure 4. (make note of setting) 6. Press right arrow 1 time to YTrip 4.0 should now be displayed on the screen. See page 4, Figure 5. (make note of setting) 7. Press ESC 2 times back to ADJUSTMENTS SCREEN. Press right arrow 1 time to SETUPS screen, and push ENTER. 8. From SETUPS: CHANGE DEFAULTS screen, right arrow 2 times to HEIGHT SETUPS screen, and push ENTER. 9. Press left arrow 2 times until TILT CORRECTION screen appears. For ANSI/CSA built scissor lifts regardless of location of EZLIFT 230, the TILT CORRECTION is set to 0 or turned off, see Figure 6 on page 4. (make note of setting) For CE/AUS built scissor lifts, depending on the EZLIFT 230 location, will be set as follows, see Figure 7 on page 4. (make note of setting) 10. Push Emergency Stop IN. If your settings match the above as described, no further actions will be required. If your settings differ from the above, please contact your local Snorkel Service Department and advise them of the TILT and TILT CORRECTION settings of your scissor lift.
