PL-EEG Headbox Family PL-EEG headboxes communicate via the TCP/IP protocol allowing for connection to standard interfaces of computers and notebooks as well as to network wall sockets, e.g. for continuous epilepsy monitoring. PL-230 The 21+2 channel headbox for standard EEG applications. Class I BF certified. Like with all PL-EEG headboxes, the signals are digitised at source, and transferred as digital data to the PL-EEG station. Digital data transfer is faster and safer. Analog filtering is reduced to a minimum. PL-351 The 32+3 channel headbox for standard and advanced EEG applications. Class I CF certified for use in demanding environment such as OR and ICU. In addition to a multi-connector for EEG caps or a Mini headbox, PL- 351 headboxes provide a connector for an optional patient event key and the Trigger box. PL-440 The convertible 44 channel amplifier allows recordings with 32 EEG inputs and up to 23 polygraphic inputs (with a max. of 45 channels). Class I CF certified. The 11 additional referencial EEG inputs (upper row of headbox inputs) can be converted into polygraphic inputs by a special multiconnector plug without modifying the hardware of the headbox. This flexible structure allows a lab to upgrade its instruments without purchasing a completely new system, and to use the same headbox for different types of examinations like standard EEG and PSG (sleep polygraphy). PL-450 A headbox to record 32 EEG channels and 9 polygraphic or sensor channels for sleep and epilepsy diagnostics. Class I CF certified. The polygraphy box provides 6 DC inputs, an integrated light sensor, and inputs for temperature sensor, Oximetry. Walter Graphtek's PL-EEG 2008-Oct-29 1
PL-700 Two combined PL-351 headboxes for improved clinical productivity developed both for the Neurological and ENT/Sleep approach. You may either record 64 EEG channels ref. and 6 polygraphic channels (Class I BF certified), or use the system as two separate PL- 351 headboxes (Class I CF). Headbox modules Trigger box With a Trigger Box connected, PL-EEG systems with PL-351 headboxes or higher are ready for measurement of ERPs like P300, P600, and N400 for diagnostics and research in the fields of psychophysics, cognitive sciences, and brain-computer interfaces (BCI). The Trigger Box provides 8 inputs, which can be used as digital or as analog inputs, 16 digital input and 8 digital outputs. Its functionality is combinable with software like Presentation from Neurobehavioral Systems and MatLab from The MathWorks. Response box The Response Box can be connected to the Trigger Box to monitor up to 12 key inputs of a patient. Up to four PC mice with three keys or a keyboard can be connected to the Response Box. Mini headbox This small connection box with 32 EEG inputs can be connected to the multi connector of all PL-EEG headboxes. Walter Graphtek's PL-EEG 2008-Oct-29 2
Ambulatory recorders EEG recorder The ambulatory EEG recorder is an affordable and comprehensive upgrade a PL-EEG system for continuous longterm monitoring of your patient's EEG data at home, in the clinic or up a mountain! This small and lightweight device continuously records 14 EEG channels with one reference and two bipolar channels for ECG, EMG or EOG, for up to 60 hours. Sleep recorder The ambulatory sleep recorder is a very lightweight and small recorder with 16 analog channels and a serial interface to connect a NONIN finger clip sensor. By default, about 15 MBytes data per hour are recorded, i.e. up to 34 hours can be stored on a 512 MB Flash Card. Cannels: 3x EEG (referential), 2x EOG (referential), 1x ECG (bipolar), 3x EMG (bipolar), 3x body position/movement (internal acceleration sensors), 2x breathing, flow (mouth and nose), microphone (snoring), event marker. New EEG Cap SoftCap Recently, a really cosy electrode cap has been invented, which at the same time provides high-quality recordings, and a quicker application than other types of EEG caps. SoftCaps are available in different sizes, and with 24 up to 256 electrode positions. If you visit a Walter Graphtek stand at an exhibition: ask for this astonishing cap and try yourself! More accessories available! Walter Graphtek's PL-EEG 2008-Oct-29 3
PL-Winsor PL-Winsor, Walter Graphtek's EEG recording and review software, is suitable for routine EEG, PSG/sleep studies, longterm EEG, ambulatory EEG and videometry. No separate applications need to be installed. Recording At the recording view, all necessary functions are visible and can be accessed by mouse. Photic stimulation programs, hyperventilation timings and markers freely can be configured. Markers can be set by keyboard, or mouse. Replay Replay the EEG with the same montages as used during examination, auto scroll through the record with a speed of your choice, or jump to a point of interest by clicking to the EEG scroll bar which denotes the markers set during acquisition. PL- Winsor s bookmarks and browsing functions let you easily open further recordings and display them next to each other for direct comparison in split screen mode. The display parameters freely can be defined, i.e. you are not restricted to predefined filter sets. Measurement PL-Winsor calculates, for example, the Root- Mean-Square (R.M.S.) amplitude and the dominant frequency of a specified segment. When zooming inside a trace, you will not only get a bigger signal, but a signal with increased resolution a measuring function is integrated. Walter Graphtek's PL-EEG 2008-Oct-29 4
Power and amplitude mapping 2D power mapping for freely selectable time intervals is provided in the PL-Winsor standard version. You can scroll through the EEG while the power map is recalculated. The pictures show the 3D Mapping option. Amplitude-integrated EEG In addition to the EEG signals, the aeeg option displays EEG data like a Cerebral Function Monitor (CFM) applicable especially for neonatal monitoring of reduced brain activity. The aeeg option also is usable to quickly navigate through long examinations like ambulatory or sleep recordings. Reporting Reports either can be written in Microsoft Word, or within any RTF-compatible text editor. In both cases, the reports are saved in RTF format to ensure long-term data compatibility. When working with MS Word, the patient and EEG data are automatically inserted into the report. PL-Winsor provides a local reporting option, which enables you to easily transfer data onto a notebook to review examinations and edit your findings wherever you want. Workflow and maintenance Local recording Plug network cable and start examinations at any site! PL-Winsor's local recording option automatically transfers recorded data after reconnecting to network. Behind the scenes PL-Winsor provides a huge number of configuration settings, which easily can be modified. For example, you may define polygraphy display parameters, select sampling rates, or switch recording formats to EDF+ and others. Remote service Especially for supporting neurologists in private practices Walter Graphtek provides a safe way to establish remote desktop connections, without need to install any software or modify computer settings. For hospitals, flexible solutions for remote support can be established. Auto updates Within networks, new software versions install themselves when clients start PL-Winsor. Videometry With the PL-VIDEO-D4 videometry option installed, your PL-EEG becomes a powerful and flexible unit for epilepsy monitoring, sleep studies and continuous longterm recordings for several days without additional cost for cabling and video screens. Walter Graphtek's PL-EEG 2008-Oct-29 7
CSA/DSA The CSA/DSA option of Walter Graphtek s PL-EEG gives a comprehensive overview of the frequency content of large portions, or an entire EEG. Additional feature: Hilbert Transformation (HT) Walter Graphtek's PL-EEG 2008-Oct-29 8
