DANILO PEREZ PANAMA 500 RIDER 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS: A) It is understood that this agreement may not be modified except in writing, signed by both artist and purchaser. B) Purchaser, at his/her sole cost and expense, shall obtain all licenses, work visas, permits or other approvals required from any union, public authority, performing rights society or other entity having jurisdiction with respect to this engagement and will comply completely and to satisfactory fulfill all terms and conditions set forth therein. 2. TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT: PROMOTER MUST PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT: a) PIANO: One Yamaha concert Grand Piano (upright and baby grand pianos are unacceptable) tuned to A-440 international pitch before the performance and during intermission, along with an adjustable piano bench. PIANO MUST BE TUNED PRIOR TO SOUND CHECK AND IF NEEDED AFTER SOUND CHECK PRIOR TO SHOW, ALSO DURING AT INTERMISSION BETWEEN SHOWS AT NO COST TO ARTIST. THE PIANO TUNER MUST REMAIN AVAILABLE AT THE VENUE FOR THESE TOUCH-UP TUNINGS! NO EXCEPTIONS. b) DRUMS: One SONOR, PEARL or GRETSCH drum set consisting of: 18 Bass Drum 10 and 12 Toms (mounted on bass drum)
DRUMS (Cont.) 14 Floor Toms (NOT mounted) One (1) 14 Snare drum (6 1/12 7 deep) Five (5) cymbal stands All coated drum heads (remo ambassador or equivalent) + ALL necessary hardware (including b.d.pedal) 1 rug One LP conga (tumbadora) c) One Bass Amp: Gallien Kruger 112 combo or Ampeg and One monitor speaker 12 or 15 Meyer or EAW d) Acoustic Amp for violin (Roland or Fishman AMP) e) Percussionists specs are 3 Congas (Tumbadora, conga and requinto) (1 chekere, 1 campana and 1 bata ) f) Three (4) music stands with lights with all necessary AC cables. g) Stage must be adequate sturdy staging at least 30 wide, 24 deep and 3 high. Stairs to the stage are needed. h) Six (10) white clean towels put on stage (two for each musician) along with two bottles of unopened spring water for each musician. SOUND SYSTEM: ARTIST S production manager shall have final authority in mixing both sound and lights. The quality of the sound system must meet ARTIST S standards. PURCHASER must provide a professional stereo sound system adequate for the size of the facility to include: a) Front of House mixing console with a minimum of 32 inputs and 8 subgroups. With 6 pre fader auxiliary sends, four way equalization with two sweepable mid frequencies on each input channel, also, insert points on all channels and subgroups is required. Both consoles must be capable of 48 v. Speakers systems must be high quality for ex: EAW (KF 850) or Meyer MSL
b)microphone and direct box requirements per attached stage and mic plot. c)a stage monitor system with independent volume and equalization controls from the main sound system. Six (6) biamped active crossover movable floor monitors with SIX (6) independent mixes, each mix with its own 1/3 octave equalizer, as well as cue system for the monitor mix engineer. Each monitor will have two (2) twelve inch (12 ) speakers and one (1) compression loaded horn drive with a minimum of two hundred fifty (250) watts RMS power. Every input on the stage plot must be able to be used in the monitors, if necessary. d) House outboard system shall include: Two(2) one third (1/3) octave equalizers, Three (3) professional digital reverb units as: Yamaha: REV 5, REV 7, SPX900, or SPX9011, Lexicon: PCM70; Eight (8) channels of patchable compression such as: DBX 160X or DBX166. PURCHASER MUST PROVIDE MIXING ENGINEERS FOR HOUSE AND MONITOR SYSTEMS. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS : LIGHTS: a) A professional quality lighting system which includes seventy-five (75) Par 64 1000 Watts Units; Twenty-five (25) very narrow spots or ACL; Twenty-five narrow spots; and Twenty-five (25) medium floods. b) One (1) follow spot. c) One (1) lighting console with a minimum of: Sixty (60) channels, three (3) pre-set modes, and thirty-six (36) pin matrix.
d) Circuiting should be One (1) unit per dimmer. In addition, five (5) separate floor lines are needed. e) Ten (10) cuts each of the following ROSCOLUX colors: 10, 17, 22, 26, 37, 45, 57, 59, 68, 78, 83 and 95. f) One (1) communications system between monitor mix position, house mix position, lighting console and follow spot operator. ARTIST S production manager shall have final authority in mixing both sound and lights.
3. ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION: Purchaser shall not commit Artist to any personal appearances, interviews or any other type of promotional activity without Artist or Management s prior consent. Artist shall receive 100% star billing on any and all publicity including without limitation: programs, flyers, signs, posters, newspapers ads, lobby boards, tickets, marquees, radio and television promotion. 4. SOUND CHECK: Promoter will arrange a sound check at a time convenient to artist and provide all transportation for band and instruments to and from venue for sound check. Promoter will have all production elements - such as: band equipment, amps, EM, microphones and sound systems, monitors and lights in place and tested prior to artist s arrival for sound check. 5. BACKSTAGE REQUIREMENTS: Purchaser will provide the dressing rooms with 10-15 bottles of natural spring water, two (2) bottles of very good red wine, fruit juice, soft drink (diet and regular), hot coffee (espresso PLEASE) and herbal tea, ice, fifteen (15) clean glasses, fresh Deli platter with assorted breads, fresh fruits, cheese and crackers, humus and pita bread A hot meal is to be provided after sound check and before the show and must consist of fresh vegetable soup (no cream base) fresh fish or chicken (baked or broiled only), two fresh vegetables or one fresh vegetable and one large fresh salad, (dressing on the side) rice and beans or pasta in a pesto sauce (no cream sauce), dessert with coffee (ESPRESSO PLEASE) and herbal tea enough for six people. 6. HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS: All hotel accommodations shall be provided by Promoter at NOT less than a FOUR (4) STAR HOTEL. Total of one (1) junior suite for Danilo and four (5) single rooms for the other members. Each room MUST have a king size bed and be non-smoking rooms and MUST be in a very quiet part of the hotel. For early arrivals, please alert hotel we must have an early check in.
7. AIR AND GROUND TRANSPORTATION: Purchaser shall be responsible to provide, or reimburse Artist for five (6) round trip air tickets delivered two weeks before the engagement. Purchaser will be responsible to cover or reimburse Artist for any excess baggage or overweight charges in traveling to and from the engagement. All airport taxes are the responsibility of the Purchaser. Promoter MUST provide all ground transportation upon arrival at airport, train station, bus etc. to hotel for the The Quintet of Danilo Perez, crew members and instruments (including a bass coffin) including to and from hotel to airport, train, venue etc. until departure. Whenever transportation to and from venue is not provided by Promoter, hotel MUST be a short distance from the venue to keep cost and travel time to artist at a minimum. Whenever venue is more than a short distance, Promoter will provide transport. 8. TAPING: NO portion of the performance rendered thereunder may be broadcast, photographed, recorded, filmed, taped or embodied in any form for any purpose without prior written consent of Artist and Management. Promoter will make announcement to the audience regarding the no taping policy prior to each performance. ARTIST reserves and retains the exclusive right to record all or any portion of the performance both audio and visual, at Artist s sole cost and expense. 9. COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS: Purchaser shall make available (10) complimentary seats to Artist for his use per show.
10. SECURITY: Purchaser shall provide Artist with sufficient security personnel to insure the safety of the Artist, band, crew and all the equipment throughout the duration of the performance. 11. CANCELLATION: Artist obligation to perform thereunder shall be excused of artist or any of his group as a result of: detention resulting from inability to obtain reasonable modes of transportation, riots, epidemics, an act or order by any public authority, an act of God, or any other case beyond artist s control. In such event, Artist will not be required to perform and shall return to Purchaser any deposits paid, less costs incurred by Artist, and neither party shall be under any further obligation to each other.
