YOUTH: THE ROCKIN TALE OF SNOW WHITE Summer Drama Camp Performs at the Amador Theater Thursday/Friday, July 12 & 13 7 PM General: $10 Youth: $5 Summer Drama Camp participants invite you to attend their lively musical based on the Brothers Grimm tale with new characters, music, fun comedic twists and lively limericks. As a modern mom reads the classic tale to her children, you ll meet the well-known cast along with many new faces that include a gaggle of forest animals, friendly Dwarf Villagers, the huntsman s squabbling conscience, and even a rapping magic mirror! YOUTH/TEEN: FIREHOUSE ARTS CENTER S PARKSIDE OPEN MIC - Come Share Your Talent! Wednesdays, July 18, August 1 & 15 4-6 PM FREE! Whether you are a musician, singer, comedian, poet, or you just love watching, the Parkside Open Mics are a great way to support teens and adults in the arts. All performing artists are welcome to share their family-friendly talent with the public. Performer sign-ups begin at 3:30 PM on the Parkside Patio. The public is encouraged to bring portable seating and arrive early for a great spot. 3 FIREHOUSE ARTS CENTER July- August 2012 CABARET: JOEL: A Tribute to the Songs of Billy Joel Piano Man Kyle Martin Performs Sunday, July 22 7:30 PM $12 - $25 JOEL is the premier rock and roll Billy Joel Tribute band on the West Coast. Fresh off the national tour of Billy Joel s Tony Awardwinning rock musical MOVIN OUT, Piano Man Kyle Martin and his group of professional musicians are preparing for their national tour later this year. The band performs Billy Joel s timeless repertoire. With songs like Big Shot and Only the Good Die Young, they are blazing hot and will have you on your feet rocking out. TEEN: TRI-VALLEY HIGH: HEROES & VILLIANS Creatures of Impulse Teen Improv Troupe A Teen Superhero Themed Improv Show Friday/Saturday, August 3 & 4 Friday 7:30 PM Saturday 2 & 7:30 PM General: $10 Teens: $5 With great power comes great responsibility... and a really great improv show! The audience will help inspire the characters, stories, and superpowers. Each night will bring a different improvised story as the audience sees what happens when teens are given superhuman abilities.
