This simple bedtime story has been transformed into an hour long musical that brings smiles to everyone in attendance. GOODNIGHT MOON the Musical transports the audience inside the great green room. Children of all ages will love seeing dancing bears with chairs, the cow jumping over the moon and yes, the bunny dancing and singing his way to sweet dreams. At only one hour, it is the perfect length for even the youngest fan, and each minute of that hour is action packed with one special effect after another that will thrill even the parents. Everyone s favorite bedtime story comes to life! Join us on November 7th or 8th for a Goodnight Moon Pajama Party! The events begin at 6:30 each night with cookies, hot cocoa, the telling of classic children's stories by the characters of those stories themselves, and other reading The Colonnade Players Present Babes in Toyland When you think of Christmas, do you often find your self singing Toyland, Toyland, little girl and boy land. Many people do, thanks to the music of Victor Herbert and the classic story Babes in Toyland. The Colonnade Players, in association with The Dramatic Publishing Company, will be bringing the classic to life on The Colonnade Stage this November. Director Heidi Riddle returns to the helm to direct the cast of 20 local adults and children in a retelling of the beloved story of the evil plot of Uncle Barnaby to turn children into toys in the hopes of becoming Santa s biggest toy supplier. Libretto and lyrics are adapted by Ruth Perry with Ann Smit and Susan Carle from the original operetta by Victor Herbert and Glen MacDonough into a story that appeals to all ages. See the story through to its conclusion with the March of the Wooden Soldiers, the arrival of Santa and the magic of Christmas leaving you singing Hail to Christmas, joyous Christmas. Shows will be held November 14, 15, 21 & 22, 2014 at 7:30pm. There will be a matinee on Saturday, November 22 at 1:00pm. Performances November 15 & 22 @ 7:30pm will be interpreted for the deaf. related activities. At 7:30, everyone will move to the theater for one final bedtime story in the Great Green Room. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students. The ticket includes all the activities and the performance, and everyone is invited to come in their favorite PJ's! Christians United for Israel (CUFI), along with churches in North Georgia and the Greater Chattanooga area, invites the community to a Night to Honor Israel event on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Colonnade in Ringgold, Georgia. The purpose of this event is to bring Jewish people and Christians together in solidarity. The event is designed to show support and C O L O N N A DE NE W S L E T T E R love by Christians for Israel and God s chosen people. The event is open to the public. There is no cost to attend. A complimentary reception will follow the event. Area dignitaries participating in the event include Michael Dzik, Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga; Pastor Lyndon Allen, Christians United for Israel Regional Coordinator; Jeff Mullis, Georgia State Senator; and Rabbi Bill Tepper from Chattanooga s Mizpah Congregation. Additionally the Office of the Consul General to Israel from the Southeast United States will have a representative to speak on the current situation in Israel. Several local ministers will show support for Israel by participating. Pastor Darrel Rose, CUFI Director for Chattanooga and Cleveland and Pastor of Oak Grove Church of God in Ooltewah, will introduce the Keynote Speaker and music program. Dr. Mark Bailey and the Lee University Symphonic Band will join singers from Lee University and several local churches to inspire the audience with special Israeli music. In the keynote address, Pastor Lyndon Allen will explain the importance of maintaining a strong relationship between the United States and Israel. Pastor Jimmy Hutto, Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church in Tunnel Hill in Gerogia, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. Pastor Bret Yaeger, Temple Baptist Church in Dalton, will close the event with a prayer for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel. Storyteller Productions is pleased to present It's a Wonderful Life the musical. Based on the beloved 1946 film, this musical faithfully follows George Bailey's life from his childhood dreams to his midlife disappointments and beyond, as we all take a journey to discover whether his life has mattered at all. Cinematically scored and theatrically staged, this adaption breathes musical life into a familiar story, while retaining the warmth, humor, and emotion of the original screen play. It is one of those rare moments where the adaption can stand as an equal with the original. It's a Wonderful Life the musical is a powerful journey about love, family, and faith; but, it's pacing ensures that the entire family can enjoy the show at any age!
