Fill The Truck was a Success!!!!! 1 Fundraiser 2 Trucks 13 hours 25 Parent Volunteers 46 Student Volunteers 200 Donation drop-offs 14,664 pounds Those were the components that made OFMA s 1st ever Fill The Truck fundraiser a success. OFMA will receive $3,000 from Easter Seals. Thanks to everyone who helped and donated. OFMA will do another Fill The Truck in the spring. So, during the winter months, go through your closets, basements, attics and start bagging cloth items to donate. More details to come in upcoming issues of Musical Notes.

S P O T L I G H T Music students crowned Homecoming King and Queen Congratulations to Justin Peck and Maeve Leonard who were crowned the 2015 Homecoming King and Queen. Justin is a member of Chorale and Golden Expressions. Maeve is a member of the Concert Choir. Honors Choir Jake Conder Kyle Erickson Sydney Martin Ryan Miller Carson Moore Joe Fudale is a 2014 graduate of Olmsted Falls and is currently studying music education at the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music with an emphasis in wind band conducting. As a student of Cleveland Orchestra assistant principal clarinetist Dan McKelway, I have many opportunities to perform as a member of both the BW Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra. In addition, I am privileged to be the course assistant to Professor Laura Joss and enjoy such roles as conductor of the New Horizons Pops Band for senior citizens. At Olmsted Falls, I am thrilled to be a returning marching band staff member, and am excited to continue my new role as an assistant director to Mrs. Budd and Mr. Feller. I am so incredibly thankful for my experiences at Olmsted Falls, and am eager for the years to come! P r i v a t e L e s s o n s Private Lessons are a great way to fast forward your child's progress. Lessons are taught one to one, dealing with just your child's skills. Instrumental Lessons Private lessons will be offered this year on flute, clarinet, saxophone, cornet, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, percussion, voice, and maybe, depending on the amount of interest, French horn, oboe and bassoon. (Availability of lessons will depend on the number of responses for each instrument.) This is an excellent opportunity to help your child enjoy band and choir more by being able to participate at a higher level than before. All students can greatly benefit from lessons. The advanced player will gain a greater depth of understanding and solo performance while the less experienced player will get a chance to practice the fundamentals they need.
